Thank You Roger! Yes, Davinci accepts .cube Luts. As long as you’re filming in D-Log they’ll have the same effect, if not cleaner on ProRes as it holds up against better grading.

Thanks Phillip! Love this. I've just purchased the Cinematic + Base Lut and using for my DJI Mavic 3 Cine footage shot in Pro Res. I'm using Davinci and using nodes to grade on top of the LUT, however can I ask if you use a CST (Colour Space Transform)? Currently I'm using Black Magic 6k as the input for both Colour Space and Gamma (because the DJI settings blow out and guessing it's for older models), I'm then keeping the output for Colour Space and Gamma to Rec 709. Curious to understand what setting you're using in the CST here, and also how you're grading on top of your LUTS? Perhaps you should share another video with this breakdown (on Davinci of course). Hi! These are designed specifically for the Mavic 3, however, all my LUTs, even the Mini 2 LUTs are .cube files.

Please forgive me if I sound like a idiot but are LUT's for video editing similar to using filters on Instagram for example ?? As someone that wants to start doing more editing of my footage, I need all the help I can get. As usual, another quality video

Hi Dave, yes, exactly. Luts are Look Up Tables, and they're basically a digital filter, much like a preset/filter on Instagram. It adds a certain look to your footage, however, much like with Instagram, there are times where you might have to fine tune said filter, and also like Instagram, not every filter suites every situation. Thanks! LUTs are great, and yes, they work very well in Premiere, just add in grading and you can adjust how strong it comes on.

Can I just simply use your LUTs on my D-LOG Footage which is overexposed by 1.5 stops? Or do I need to make a colour correction before I use your logs? Or should I not shoot in D-Log for your LUTs?

Overexposed?! I never i overexpose my DJI log footage. Yes, it should work a treat if you correct exposure 🔥 The Base and Pop will work with no slider control after exposure correction, unlike the cinematic LUTs, they need feeling in.

@@miguelelcarnicero That works when filming on S-log for me, and not in every situation. On the DJI drones though, I expose pretty much so it looks good on the screen, so it's almost at 0, sometimes a touch over, depending on the situation. Yes, the Base Luts are fine at 100%, no 709 switch needed. The cinematic LUTs need to be used with a slider, as they come in strong, I sometimes just pop them on at 30%, depending on the shot of course, they won't look good on every shot, unlike the Base and Pop LUT which will look good on everything.
