I don't have my Mavic yet, but I have watched tons of videos. The map that you have of it's track in the lower left hand corner, is that an option only on Android platforms? I have noticed that other videos only show a radar looking circle that show the direction the Mavic is flying (they were using Apple products).

I noticed on the Profile you almost outran it and slowed down to allow it not to lose you. What if you outrun it. Will it find you? Will it just stop or what will happen? Another good test I'd say.

Danny Fyffe Based on another video I saw, it will either keep spinning in whatever direction it was to try to find you, or it will completely stop trying to track you. Either way, you'll have a notification on your screen telling you if the subject is out of frame

I've heard about a few DJI GO Android problems with S7 phones. I have the Galaxy S7 Active and I hope it's not too rugged to fit into the controller and that the app works as well as a normal S7 or S7 Edge should.

Andrew Hake - according to the review I saw on another channel the drone can track the controller or the phone but the signal it uses to do so is apparently weaker. The active track is probably the better mode base on the video reviews I've seen. I'm hoping to buy one soon.

So in trace mode does the 100 stand for the angle it will track, so 100 degree's? Seems like that's the same as profile mode?

Strider The speed in which it traces or orbits around the subject. 100 is fastest possible setting.

Hazard a guess at collision detection is off as its flying sideways!

That's the Forward Vision System Status indicator and in profile mode it is turned off so that's probably why it turned red to indicate it's off.

Cool I will check it out. Yeah the manual says "Aircraft will not be able to avoid obstacles while in Profile or Spotlight Mode. Use these modes in open areas." My fly more combo finally arrives tomorrow so I've had plenty of time to read the manual many times lol

Mike, how did you stop the trace mode, is it just a case of pressing the trace icon again on the screen?

Miles Hebden To stop the circling (tracing) you just slide the slider back to center or to quickly cancel everything just hit the red stop button at far left. I really wish it had a physical switch you had to flip like on the Phantom 3 controller. A tad unnerving to have to fumble with the screen if you need to cancel in a hurry or if the phone were to crash. I'm sure there is a way to cancel on the controller itself but I haven't figured it out yet.

I tried profile and my mavic flew backwards into a tree, I barely escaped, I have backward flying disabled but no idea still why this happened, all over active track modes worked fine

Mustafa ARTUC So far calls have no effect, I just cancel call. Turning controller off to initiate RTH....I've not been brave enough to try that!
