I would like to know if after a year or two if you think this is still as good as a DJI battery?
@s2s_parrotfan2366 жыл бұрын
Hey Kelly. Thanks for video, but please follow-up. I think it might be helpful if you went through a checklist of some battery-centric features that we expect from a compatible "intelligent" battery. Whille it's nice to know the flight time, of more importance are things like voltage balance before and after flight, and before and after charging. Also, does the battery display properly on both the monitor and remote control. Can we monitor voltage while in flight? Can we use the 1 through 10 day auto-discharge feature? If we tap the power button before discharging begins, does it "reset" the discharge cycle? Otherwise, we don't know if it's truely an "intelligent" replacement for the stock batteries. (FWIW, your link to Amazon shows "Unavailable" ... no price)
@TheRezolutionPhoto6 жыл бұрын
Exactly - in fact an Airdata account is free and you could even see battery discharge curves and temperatures to compare with standard battery. C'mon Kelley - up your game!

Hey thanks for the review, but would have been nice to get a side by side comparison of flight performance. This battery’s flight time performance seemed a bit low. Btw, I’m in Australia and the affiliate link you won’t send to Australia, so maybe you should find an international affiliate link as well so that you can at least get some sort of credit for sending people there
@terrylord50336 жыл бұрын
I don't think battery drain is linear over time necessarily, especially when you get low. So it might not be easy to calculate the last 20%. Is it not ok to go to 10% or lower ? DJI must have to have gotten 27mins.

Easy fix. Exit out to the main screen in DJI GO 4 - the screen where you see a picture of the type of drone you are flying. On that screen, you should get the option to update the battery firmware. Just swipe the green button one the battery firmware should update in less than 2 minutes.

Buy DJI Refresh when you purchase their drones. It covers 2 returns for one year. I purchased the Mavic Air with that plan just a few hours ago at DJI.COM. It will by my first New DJI drone instead of refurbished models I bought before. I feel I deserve a small reward for the heck of it. ;)
@anticapitalize6 жыл бұрын
That's good advice, but my point was more about the high likelihood of them denying service when they detect (and blame) 3rd party batteries.

but now with it being a crime to play with a TOY. even if nobody else is within ten miles of you. must have a permit, cost with the feds, that must be "up-dated" aka; more money. permission to fly, and in some cases banned in many locations. must be registered with the feds, more money every couple years. and have a tracking gizmo on your TOY. so anybody can assault you if they want to.

Pointless review! How can you make a judgement on its suitability based on a single flight at low level. Why didn't you throw the drone about a bit so see if the battery stayed connected properly. Why didn't you use your phone to show how dji go 4 reports the battery? Individual cell voltages? Will it return home on low battery alarm etc? All these things need answering before any sane person would risk killing their drone (or someone else) with a knockoff battery. Sorry Kelly, not your best review!

Phantom Pro (holds Mavic battery) 😂
@blooskyy72 жыл бұрын
This is the weak point with any DJI drone, the flight battery! Lipos have a short lifespan and when DJI stop producing them, which I believe they have for the Mavic Pro, the drone becomes a paper weight. As 'Intelligent' batteries are reliant on firmware, from a compatibility pov buying third party is a risk, it may or may not work. I won't be buying another DJI for this reason.

What a complete waste of time! you say it works, It looks the same, it has the same specs, its cheaper, you didn't crash or hurt anyone, bla bla bla, I think everyone knew that from the get go, how about some real info worth our time? Should we buy the knock off or stick with the original? How much less does it cost? Does it last as long as the original? Why else do you think anyone would spend time watching this video? Perhaps the free battery did influence your review and you weren't completely honest with us, from looking elsewhere I'd say 10 minuets less in flight time isn't worth $20 less in battery cost. One more thing, ( if you crashed into someone or wrecked your drone that would have actually been worth watching)
@BikerGeek6 жыл бұрын
10 minutes less? So you get 31 minutes off a standard Mavic Pro battery?
