these are great accessories, but this just ruins the purpose of having it ready to fly in minutes in my opinion.

cjZarate yeah, extended landing gear and filters I get but most accessories are there so people can buy and "accessorize" to perform limited functions. My mavic can function just as well without landing pads, prop guards and huge hardcase backpacks that don't require me to unfold the legs etc. a lot of junk out there.

I like the landing gear BUT as you said, it' defeats the 'portability" and RTF in an extremely short time. Prop guards in my opinion are a waste of time. I got some for indoor flights, tbh, the mavic is so steady and easy to manoeuvre there's no point and I never used them....The landing feet are great as all depending where you're flying, you can use them in long grass. The Mavic is very low and cuts the grass very well :-) Thanks for the good review

Many buyers (of this drone) could be first timers for drone flying and it would be advisable to have all those protective accessories when learning to get the feel of flying this mavic instead of risking very bad crashes that might damage the drone.
@markandblitz50556 жыл бұрын
THATS alot of weight and I believe adding weight to it will absolutely shorten flight time, plus all that on and off will scratch the drone. Stay high in the air and you wont hit anything, height is your friend. Landing gear heightener addition is good idea and use a landing pad to keep debris out of internals.

Keep in mind that the 2 front legs also contain the drones antennas. Covering them may reduce signal distance.

Great video! I especially like the part where you showed the difference with the filters for the camera! I would like to see more info for that if you could recommend someone or even make a video that just shows people on how they can use the filters to get the different looks and resolution. Thanks again for the video updates! Keep them coming!

Great video. I don't even have one but seeing the accessories makes me want it even more. Debating on holding off though in case the release an upgraded one like they do the Phantom series.

One of the next updates on the DJI Mavic Pro would be obstacle avoidance, both sides and rear. Another hopeful feature could be able to change the filters on the fly. You know rotate the filters over the lens while flying.

Hey Justin, another great video 😄 I was just wondering if you or anyone here knew when or had any idea on how long until the next DJI drone like the mavic will be released by DJI? I am just curios as I cannot decide whether or not to buy the mavic or to wait for the next drone by DJI. THANKYOU

Lucas Lowe I'm in the same boat! I want the Mavic like crazy but am skeptical about it. If it's like the Phantom series I wouldn't think it would be to long now before another version comes out. I would love to see them upgrade the camera to the same as the P4+. If they do that I would rather hold out for it.

Omar Ghetti that's what I mean lol, I planned in buying this either this week or next. I just got an email from DJI about a Phantom 4 Advanced then I thought about the Mavic Pro. Now I think I should wait a lil. Thanks for the heads up, I'll look into that

A "Polarising Filter" will give more "Saturated" colours, and reduce, glare, (From non metallic surfaces) depending on it's angel to the sun. The most efficient angle, being 90 degrees, this effect, lessons, the further it is, from this angel. Eg: If you were to fly into the sun, (180 degrees) the filter, would have no effect.

I don't like those pro guards. I've seen two other reviews and they don't look good. They are big, bulky and get snagged on stuff with those overhanging points
@simulatedpilot34416 жыл бұрын
Also I got landing gear with shocks on them for seven bucks you can literally see it take the force of the landing the gimbal ball hardly moves Landing Pad is just something else to carry around I have never used return to home not one time or any intelligent flight modes other than sport briefly I just get in the air try to take good pictures keep line of sight stay under 400 feet and enjoy having the ability to see the world like a bird.
