$169 USD for this system is GREAT! $89 USD for the single TX system! Good job DJI for not over pricing this basic audio system! 👏 Going to make my comparison to the Hollyland Lark M2 a little more interesting...
@johank.verhook2930Ай бұрын
yeah, I just got the M2 on sale for for 115$ the combo kit, and was wondering if should return and get this DJI Mic Mini. For what I've seen in YT, I like a bit more the noise reduction of the DJI Mini, but having to connect it with the phone to use that seems ridiculous. And, I dislike that I have to show DJI brand with the mic... while the M2 has its stickers to avoid that... So I think I'll keep the M2... but will look for your comparison ;) thanks for the vid
@BenGleasonMediaАй бұрын
@@johank.verhook2930 Yeah that price really makes it a difficult decision. But I will say that both systems are SO GOOD! It really comes down to how you are using it. I do like the two levels of denoise with the DJI but the Hollyland does have a couple of features that the DJI doesn't do as well in, the required use of the app being one of them. And that price for the Hollyland right now is just so hard to argue with! Thanks for watching, ill have that comparison out hopefully this weekend! 🙌

Great review, thank you! I recently learned that you can connect the receiver to the Mimo app without physically plugging it in to your phone. Simply hold the power button down for 6 seconds and the light will flash blue indicating Bluetooth mode. You will then see an option to connect to the receiver wirelessly via the Mimo app.

Thanks for sharing the raw audio dude. A lot of KZbinrs do a lot of tweaking with their audio. Where I think non pro creators will just use it direct straight from the device itself

Yes! I personally think it sounds even better connected to the Osmo! and when I pulled the footage into my editing program, it says that the file is 32-bit rather than 24-bit. I'm testing this further, but the audio sounds fantastic!

One of the major comparative advantages of the original dji mic was that it did a separate recording on the transmitter...big setback that omission.

8:45 16kHz when connecting to the phone? That’s not good, I wish I could hear how that sounds but I imagine it would be muffled.
@BenGleasonMediaАй бұрын
I was going to do a test, but that’s only when you are connected with the TX via Bluetooth. When using the USB-C receiver attachment it is still 48kHz. But playing it back it isn’t a huge difference especially on a phone speaker

@BenGleasonMediaАй бұрын
I don’t have a Samsung S23 Ultra so I’m not sure about that. But comparing the Rode Wireless GO II and the DJI Mic Mini it’s basically apples and bananas! The biggest difference is size and internal recording

Great video. Just a question, to use with the Action 4, which one do you recommend between the mic 2 only transmitter and the mic mini receiver + transmitter? They are almost the same price. I would use mostly for some ambient sound for the video tour on my channel. Thanks 😊

Hello! Just watched both reviews for the HollyLand Lark M2 and DJI Mic Mini. The most important question I have is do both mics get drop outs when not facing the receiver at close range? I noticed you pointed this out for the M2 video at 25 feet. But I was curious what the limit was for the DJI. Or is it typical for these sorts of mics to just have drop outs if you're turned around even if you're like 5 feet away from it?
@BenGleasonMediaАй бұрын
They both had small drop outs from closer ranges. Not from 5 feet away, but anything past 30 feet they both struggled. pretty typical for these smaller systems

Sennheiser makes some great options as well as Lectrosonic! Just keep in mind that those systems will cost A LOT of money! If you aren't doing live audio then I would highly recommend getting a system that has internal recording. My personal pick would be the Rode Wireless Pros
