1. The audio is recorded on different device and then synced in video editor. 2. Wired micro USB microphone connected to drone remote control and screen video captured with audio. And then two videos were synced.

Great video, I would be interested to see how it might cope if you were riding a MTB around that same area for example. I'm not expecting it to be able to find it's way through trees etc but would it be ok somewhere like that if you were to just put it a bit higher and then used the 2x zoom maybe?

Finally a video that goes deeper into real life active tracks on mini 3 Pro. Honestly, the loss of side sensors puts me off cause I rely on them so much on my Mavic 2 Pro when using intelligent flight modes. You might want to mention to it works exactly the same as my Air 2s and I found out a couple weeks ago I’ve been planning this trip for awhile I should mention to a place called Mount panorama Bathurst Australia. It’s a race track and I wanted the drone to follow me around the track then speed up footage in post because it is actually a public road and you can only go 60 km an hour. There is no way the drone is going to do that in normal mode anyway. I took off down the bottom of the hill Pitt Street, I had the maximum altitude at 120 m, I set off at round the first corner then went up Mountain straight, got round the second corner I noticed the drone was getting lower and had to dodge a few obstacles as I had it set high enough that it should have flown straight over the top of the trees if it had of kept the same distance between my car and my drone. By the time I got to the third corner it had reached 120 m height from where I initially took off from I manually tried go higher with adjustments it wasn’t letting me say my advice to people that are going up a hill in active trees and it is more than 120 m high Make sure you have your Max altitude set to at least 50 m higher than that you will mountain you are going up. I hope you understood all that.

Nice but i hope that DJI will add the follow me function, meaning follow the gps of the controller. In this we would be able to follow at higher altitude since the current track basicallly only works at low level or when there are no obstacles. The follow mode however could allow to fligh above the trees while the drone will not loose you

Yes! The Litchi app adds this function to the other DJI Mini drones. I don't understand why DJI can't do this for the Mini 3.

Hi Jeven Awesome video, sire, as always. I found a problem with my mini 3 Pro (have the latest update installed but the problem existed before that and is unrelated to firmware - I think). Basically I was recording on a hill top (about 250 metres above sea level) and used activetrack to follow my vehicle down the hillside. Since then, whenever I attempt active track, I get a warning that the drone is too low and I need to increase height to the point that the subject is way to far away for how I'm trying to frame. Is there a way to reset this, please? I can't find it in the settings. Cheers in advance.

The drone would return to its original home spot - which would be likely not the desired behavior - but in DJI fly you can set the home spot to where you're now. Dynamic auto-updating is not possible as far as I know.

In general the RTH will be updated when the notification appear (some girl talking from the RC) I don't know if it auto nor not....but at the initial flying....usually there is a warning the "RTH has been updated"....but now and then you can open your app / RC and update the RTH....it can be to the position of the RC....or on the spot of the drone.

How do you get such clean audio while flying the drone? My guess is that you have a lavaliere/lapel wireless microphone, but then my question is, how do you input the audio signal onto the video card inside the drone? Are you able to comment on the blurry artifacts that appear all around you, almost like an invisible outline? I noticed this when I tried some activetrack today on a sunny afternoon in the park. When the drone gets within a certain range (say 20 ft or closer) to the subject, you can see this transparent blur/glitchy pixels all around the subject, but it's almost see-through. It fades away when the subject gets further out. I thought it looked terrible, so looked around but can see it a bit on some clips in here too. Is this always a thing with DJI?

Very well done but how come you didn't show all these tracking modes in vertical camera position mode? Word is that none of them currently work when the camera is vertical. That's a big limitation that needs to be shown especially for all those doing Instagram, Reels etc that might want to track something in the center when shooting vertical. Please cover this in another video.

Could be that you didn't talk about the (for me) most important point when it comes to "active tracking": the implementation. Back in the days I had the GoPro Karma drone where the tracking was not visual but via GPS in the controller. Therefore it was possible to track me from a REALLY long distance, even if I was behind an object or had no good contrast to the background. I must say this is what I need as an "active tracking" solution. Yesterday I got my Mini 3 Pro and went out to test this feature.. I was maybe 30m away from the drone and tried to start active tracking, but it said I'm too far away. Wow, what a disappointment! :(

At 5:27 you were really at risk of it hitting branches because its missing side detection. I had that happen to me, where I was following a path which took a turn and it swung sideways to move in behind me and hit branches...
