Thanks for clarifying that. I sussed the in/out straight away, but used the battery pack supplied lead with my iphone charger when I realised there wasn't a C to C. I've now switched to the C to C lead supplies with the drone. It's a bit daft that this isn't explained with the battery pack. Anyhow, all is well now!

Traveling to the UK from USA, what all would I need to correctly charge DJI batteries?

Haven't travelled to the UK, but I would say a UK USB-c Charging brick. or some sort of converter plug for your US one.

Clear explanation, thanks for that. But when the battery is full, the 4 green lights stay on. Is it bad for the battery if it stays in because I want to charge at night. That means that it is full at about 3:00 but I only take it out of the charger at 9:00. Is that bad for the battery?

No it only charges till it's charged.

Thanks for your answer. I have 2 batteries and I put them in the hub and also connected the controller in the HUB, but the controller was not charged when the batteries were full. Do you have to put 3 batteries in the HUB to be able to charge the controller? 🤔

@m47tito never tested it, I would guess no, make sure you connected everything right.

Can the hub charge dji mini 3 and mini 3 pro batteries linearly ? i.e all at the same time ?

No it charges one at a time so that it gets you back in the air faster.

Why wouldn't you use it? It came with your drone. Why buy another cable when you already have the correct one.

@@xthebeast7830 🤣🤣Fair call, yes in that case buy yourself a quality replacement cable. if you need the USB A to USB C cable the Gopro ones work really well if you have a GoPro.

as long as it is usb yes, I use laptop usb c power supply to charge, also use it to charge phone., doing it as per video takes longer can charge controller with one usb, 2 batteries in the usint with another and leave one battery in the drone and charge with another cable so they all charge, the longest time would be the two batteries in the charger.

No the hub can not create power from nothing.

@@MikesManCave Got it, so charge meaning charge the motors? Do you even need to charge your drone if a fully charge batteries already in your drone? I got my DJI mini three a couple days ago so I’m new to all this lol lol

@@Zach-wp5mu I am not sure what you mean by charge the motors, never heard of that. The drone runs on a battery, the battery needs to be charged for the drone to work. Once you fly the drone you need to charge it again in order to fly it again.

But why would you charge the controler on the hub? If you batteries are full you connect the cable to the controler. I dont see the advantage here if the controler only gets charged after all batteries are ful or no batteries are in

The advantage seems obvious to me. The controller automatically charges after the batteries are charged without having to do anything or needing a secondary charger.

The odds of something going wrong during the day are the exact same, absolutely no difference what time of day you charge them. And chances are no one sits there watching their batteries charge even if you do charge them during the day. They generally sit on my stone kitchen bench when charging at home or in my car when charging on the road. But I do get what you are saying but odds of something going wrong are pretty slim.

I think it's more important that anything charging is left on something solid and none flammable. It makes me cringe when I see people leaving charging iPhones etc on their bed!

Put it into sports mode and it will go faster, the drone has three speed settings. But this is not related to the charging process.
