In this video we test fly and compare the DJI Mini 3 Pro with the Hubsan Zino Mini Pro stabilized GPS camera drones. The Zino Mini Pro is nearly identical to the EXO Blackhawk Mini for your reference. For the purposes of this test we looked at video quality first and foremost. Hi Marcus , I am looking at the Mini-3 Pro , after my Mini-2 crashed , I am thinking of buying a Mini-3 Pro , the Hubsan looks really good too as far as Video Quality goes but as Someone said in the Comments , the sense of security and comfort of flying a DJI drone is just not matched by the others , I give them a lot of Stick for the little Sneaky Things they do to us though ! they can be quite Ridiculous and they know it !!! I am always hoping for the best for these other Manufacturers though ! Hubsan , was around a long time and they are still part of our Community too and if I had to buy one just to Support them , I would ! Hi Idaho Thank you for the video made me decided to buy the Huhsan. Of course the DJI is a better drone, but it is almost double the cost of the hudsan now and I got a great deal of buying it. Next time if you test the Hudsan again. You can try the bypass mode of the obstacle avoidance (maybe it is a new firmware feature). It works amazingly well. I would say the calibration of obstacle avoidance for the Hubsan made a hugh difference. Also the updated apps has a new AE lock which is very handy.

I got my first GPS drone after watching your FIMI X8 review. I agree with you that if cost is not a problem, the DJI is a better drone. However, I was able to get a great deal on my brand new HZMP fly more combo for about $400 USD, so I couldn't resist. I agree with you that Hubsan could have done a better job when they started selling their products. Their support and software are not as good as DJI's. For example, I had to do some research to find out about the bypass mode and the AE lock. Additionally, the Hubsan visual calibration assistant would not run on my high-end computer, but it ran and calibrated on my old 14-inch laptop when I set the screen resolution to 1280 x 720. Thank you for your continued hard work.

I think that both drones have their use - I do special projects for a city in Ontario and some of them are in DJI no fly zones, even though I am perfectly legal to fly the drone there to accomplish the mission. The Hubsan having none of the geofencing is enough of a reason for anyone doing projects to keep on along side them. Great video! Your videos are always rock solid which is why I sub to your channel.

Hi Marcus. The one thing you get with the Mini 3 that you do not get from any other drone is the sense of security and comfort from being a part of the DJI community. I hate to compare them, but it’s like being a part of the Apple ecosystem. It just works, while the company behind it is rock solid. The user experience goes beyond the actual piloting of the drone, as I say, it’s the sense of a solid community as well.

Nice comparison to start with. The stills from HZMP seem to be too dark compared to what I've been taking on mine (not sure what's going on). I really have been enjoying my HZMP but it was my first drone over 100€ and I got it 6 months before DJI Mini 3 Pro on a deal with 2 batteries for 450€. It has evolved quite a bit with firmware updates (on latest version 1.5.0 they hidden the gimbal PID parameters again, maybe they think there's no more need to mess around with those parameters?). Off course, if their price is more or less the same I would go for the DJI. I think the 4K 60FPS on DJI can't do HDR so even though I wouldn't turn on HDR on Hubsan (I think it doesn't improve dynamic range and slightly worsens image sharpness) that comparison using 4K30 on both is the right one (best image quality on both drones). The DJI with extra battery should put it over the 250g so that is not same apples to apples in terms of flight time (at least for some EU drone flyers), anyway I still think I would go with slightly less battery with the other improvements DJI has (notable obstacle avoidance, no jello anywhere to be found, potentially 4k HDR that I'm not sure if it does really improve image dynamic range, from what I've seen they were very close in this comparison). And one last thing, I had some accidents with my HZMP and couldn't buy spare parts, because Hubsan doesn't sell them (they say it's not user friendly to replace them at home).. so all you can buy are propellers, batteries, chargers, and not much more.. So if you are comfortable repairing your drone, the DJI should have an easier way to get spares (from official brand or 3rd party, that I also couldn't find for hubsan). Hubsan does sell spares for bigger drones (over 250g) but for the Minis you can't buy an arm. I wish the obstacle avoidance sensors were on the sides, because all my accidents have been flying sideways (parallax) with low altitude focusing on an object and bumping on trees sideways... anyway I did fix all cracks with glue and welding (including batteries), it doesn't look beautiful but seems to be flying perfectly).

Hi, Marcus! Great evaluation and comparison of the two drones! I have the Mini3 and am liking it better every day when DJI pushes their firmware updates to fix issues!! I do have the same issue as you that when I try to tap on the screen to stop the screen recording, I keep getting the focus box that pops up but, eventually, I'm able to stop the recording! Not sure if you've tried pairing your iPhone's hotspot with the RC controller but I find it difficult as sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but most of the time it says OUT OF RANGE when the phone is literally about 5 inches away from the controller. Hoping the new RC update they pushed out yesterday will fix this problem! Thanks again for your excellent videos!

Great review of the two minis, Marcus. I believe the videos are very slightly better on the DJI, and the 48mb pictures are much better on the DJI. They’re very similar, but then again, with added features. Ie. Vertical shooting, and 60FPS, as well as the history and longevity of DJI, why would anyone consider the Hubsan or the EXO? Sadly the Exo-Hubsan deal has screwed US consumers. We pay more for the exact same product (despite the Exo marketing speak) and if we go for the better deal on a Hubsan over seas we can't activate it in the US without a bit of a hassle.

What is the weight of the Mini3P with the endurance battery? At 6:30 you mention price..Now the HZMP are $555(64) & $597(128). DJI Mini3Pro is $759(with controller). I think the DJI just nudged out the Hubsan camera a bit. More natural but all in all it always comes down to price... Remember .. the new "Hubsan Mini" has the same camera as the HZMP & the Hubsan ACE Pro at a price of $429 (EXO have yet to rebrand that one). 👍🙏😎

Hya Marcus, I have a question about the compass on Mini 3 Pro. @ days after the update, I went out to retry to learn how to make the hyperlapse I did. When I fired up the drone, after the controller, it was getting ready to start a take off but was advised I needed to do a rc compass calibration, not the drone but it displayed the rc controller. I know it is on the menu to do manually but this was an auto must do. So since I have never done a cal like this I did it and all was well. Did you ever have to do that after the update 69??????? I never saw that before but all went fine. I am watching the Hubson video so will post this afterwards..... The horizon on this hubson is very unlevel. Everything is slanted. zoom jumps and is NOT smoothe. All of a sudden video is blown out white.After turning everything leans to the right now. Video is awful light dark and then over saturated. This meter talk is useless to most of us who watch. To be honest I would not own this if it was a gift. DJI has me totally spoiled.Wht an annoying noise. What about a person? Bad Horizon again! Video breakup, whaaaaaaaaaaaa. One direction it is lopsided turn around the other is lopsided. No xcreen data flying to 1 k. Screen freezes Recording failed? Screen froze. Delayed video good for CNN News, LOL. I would return this thing immediately! This is shameful. Sorry Macus. No rule of thirds with this thing. That place use to be called Costco I thought. If you have done all the updates you will probably need to replace the cable as well. I found twisting the cable to create tension in the connection between the controller and your tablet/phone helps.

I bought a dji mini 3 rc 2 weeks ago and it was very cheap. 15900 baht or about 436$ just need a monitor on the rc.
