This is a really decent drone despite all the hate given it. Yes, it’s pricey but as far as the camera & flight performance goes, it’s a solid quad. Good for you in reviewing it. 👍🏻

@@GorillamansGarage I’ve seen several negative comments in other review videos showing a hatred towards these new ‘EXO x Hubsan’ drones. It’s a partnership between the two... Hubsan makes drones for EXO just as Xiaomi makes drones for Fimi, that’s all. Yes, they look the same as Hubsan’s drones (thus the rebrand from the outside) but what some don’t know is that the BlackHawk2 Pro has different hardware inside of it, then that of the Hubsan ACE Pro. Ask Hubsan, they’ll tell you. 😉

@@DroneSyndrome : Sorry to disagree again... Xiaomi & Hubsan are definitely not the same. EXO is not a company under the umbrella of Hubsan... EXO is it's own Marketing company that is screwing over Canada & Mexico. As for the Hardware issue... I know the EXO Mini (w/o O.A.), the copy of the HZMSE does have a sub par camera (not exactly the same as on the ZMSE.. but from reviewers and testers I have communicated with... the internals on the EXO/Hubsan re-brands are the same. Even "Teflon Charlie" has admitted as such. That being said... It makes no matter. The Hubsan or EXO Drones (whichever way you slice it) .. are decent units. @@GorillamansGarage It’s cool. I like to be informed of these things whether I’m right or wrong, so thanks. I recently had a chat with Charlie the other day and I’ve been told differently but then again, it’s all talk until we (the drone community/customers) can prove it otherwise, right? There have been some recent developments that unfortunately I’m not able to say here but it looks like there’s more to come from this collab with Hubsan. And I completely agree with you, whether you choose to buy a Hubsan or an EXO drone, they are the best units produced by Hubsan today, over the original Zino, Z2, Z2 plus... They have been on top of the firmware for some time now-not perfect but they’re getting there.

Marcus, Another honest review. I am not a fan of EXO as a company or of Husban quads but as a basic quad for a beginner level flyer who stays in close proximity in a park like environment I guess it might fill their needs. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting that you can only achieve the high bit rates, when saving to the internal storage. It seemed to perform well, except for some horizon and signal issues. Pretty solid drone, just seems a bit overpriced when compared to the competition. Great review Marcus, thanks for sharing. And nice Ready Set Drone hat.

Marcus, it'd be great to see a "side by side" comparison between the Blackhawk and the Ace, feature by feature, to see why Charlie is saying this is the best drone manufactured or if both of the drones are identical in flying. Even better yet include the Air 2S in the comparison, as well. I realize I'm asking as lot. Thanks for the review.

Nit picky but for the money I expected USB-C charging on the controller and include at least 2 or 3 ND filters.. It's weird you can't view the camera until take off. The AF seems a little off particularly after take off? Otherwise the video quality seems very decent with the exception of the horizon issue. However maybe they can fix it a firmware update. As usual a great and thorough review!

Hya Marcus, I hope to GOD they sent this to you to just do a show & tell on it. For the price of this it is horrible. This really pales next to DJI for sure. This is a poor excuse for a drone for sure. I have been getting a little more distance with the Mini 3 Pro now with each update. I have run through each of the three batteries and are being run on the fourth usage now. They are increasing in run time as they should be. I am returning with 30 to 40% in this heat as I can not stand it any longer and run for the house and back into my pool. It was so bad today with humidity which is unusal with hot sun I let it stay inside in the A/C, LOL! I worked on my lawn and baked with a large hat like yours. It helps a lot! Thanks for warning us about this drone so a lot of folks stay away from it. DJI is performing miracles in Ukraine and I hope they get a lot more from DJI as well. I have many more things to try on the Mini 3 Pro so it is going to be a while before I have time to run through all its features. I do not know what happened with the wide angle lense so maybe there was issues using it as it just disappeard now. There are others that are really cheap but I assume that because they are just that and not very good at all. The oddest thing about that wide angle is you can not out a nd filter on top of it so it is really useless on most well lit days. I havve noticed using the correct nd filter you need on any given day and using the automatic setting the pictures and video are very very good without playing with 200 different settings. I got a copy of lightroom and am going to use it to do some colorizing with the luts that are available from some of these wonderful people on here and use the 10 bit color. It seems to make a worls of difference. I do not know much about that but always willing to learn. So maybe tomorrow I will 'get that bird in the air!' That drone you show today reminds me of the Mavic Air. That was my first experience with DJI for 1 day as it turned upside down for some reason in my first flight and try to dig its way back to China. HAHAHA I sent that back IMMEDIATELY. I agree but I am too spoiled to feel that way. Someone has to do and it is kind for you to let folks know. I still watched it and it had a few good points. The Sandisk Extreme Pro was probably what was need to write to an sd card. It should write to an A2 card but will not so that was odd. 200 Mb/sec is nowhere near the speed of a 150MB/sec card so I found that odd. Cheers Marcus for your patience.

I know you have to take Ken (The Original Dobo) with a grain of salt but if you have not seen his video from yesteray where he really went off on EXO. They announced that they (EXO) basically sold the brand to Open Store, made a fist full of cash and left their customers hanging in the wind. Worth watching but if anyone who reads this isnt familiar with the Original Dobo, He has no filter on hiswords. It wouldappear that my original opinion of EXO was correct (The Company itself, not the rebranded quads). Thanks

I still haven't received the original order and contacted EXO about the issue. I was thinking that, if possible, I would work with EXO to see what options I had. Great customer service? Not at all. I was ready to make the new purchase if I had to for the new promotion and send the original back, if necessary, at my cost. They don't have any chat support. It's as fast as e-mail support. When I received the first two responses, they had nothing to do with what I was acquiring about. By the time the promotion had expired, I hadn't received any response regarding my original question. Today, the drone still hasn't arrived at my door, and I received the response I was expecting which was: Unfortunately, we can only accept returns for items that were either received defective or were not the correct product. If this applies to your case, our policy offers [15] calendar days from the date you received your drone to submit a return request. Hello, Just watched this video followed by the review of the Hubsan Ace Pro, but I have a question. I am in Ireland and if I buy the Hubsan as is available to me in Europe and then visit the USA, can I now fly my own drone there on vacation, sounds like an odity to me. Dosent happen with any other Chinese Drone "DJI" in mind or Parrot or Autel, I know Hubsan and EXO are working together but surely limiting sales to an area is enough, you dont have to ban flying ones own hobby drone also. Just my thought on it. Same comment on Ace Pro Review

I would be excited if EXO was really an American made drone, but it's not. I'm not a fan when the chinese re-brand their drones. I'm really against an American middle man jumping in and re-brand chinese made drones claiming more than they are and over pricing it with the deception of greatness. Having said this I do llike Hubsan drones and do fly and have reviewed the Hubsan ACE SE, which is a 1/3 the price as EXO. They say the Hubsan ACE can't be flown in North America. Bunk, I have no issues flying here. But if people would rather spend a couple hundred more to get the EXO go for it. If I spend a $1k on a drone it won't be an EXO. Just my informed opinion.

Try getting in contact with a live rep, good luck, mine came with a defective battery like pulling teeth to get them to respond, when i did try to return the drone they emailed me the label to return the drone, guess what the drone was send to a non address checked with the post office and they are shipping the drone back to me after 14 days, will try to ship the drone back to xo again, all i needed was talk to a live tech and we good have resolved this issue, did not get a live chat with a tech to began with. all I want is to get my money refunded, they need to revamp there support system it sucks.
