I was going to buy a used one as I usually do with most DJI products. For the first time, I decided to bite the bullet and buy it brand new about a week ago. We’re living in an era when technological improvements coupled with miniaturization and battery efficiency allows for new models to outdo their previous models in a span of a year! I’m still learning the ropes of my Mini 3 Pro, my mirrorless Nikon, and lo and behold, a newer and significantly better model just popped up😲 If anyone is just waiting to jump in, don’t wait or you’ll forever be on the fence😄

Isn't it great to see where the drones launch piont is on the screen. The colors are so sweet. Still flying the Mini 2. H a ha. Switched to the Maven Lite that offers the same feature. Okay, here's my controversial hot take on this drone. First of all, thank you very much for making this video. So here it goes, this drone has a feature that I have been waiting for on all my other past DJI drones. One of my biggest issues I've had with my past drones is that whenever I selected myself for the Drone to track, it would automatically fly to about 9 or 10 ft above me, and then it would start tracking/following me. This would always get super annoying because it was the stereotypical Drone footage angle that everyone could tell was being shot by a drone. I understand that DJ I did this because it was a safety feature for vehicles and humans getting in the way of the drone. Also made your footage look horrible whenever you attract someone, or track yourself. It wasn't that typical camera footage of someone recording you at chest level like what you see in movies or on television. So when the Drone flew at nine or ten feet, it looked absolutely horrible. The newly designed focus tracking option "Near ground flight", FINALLLY means you get get the natural camera angle as if someone is holding a high end hand held DSLR and recording you! I LOVE THIS! But it doesn't end here. Another issue I had was when you selected yourself for the Drone to track Not only would it start flying about 3 or 4 ft above you, but it would also distance itself from you wallet tract you. Again, another safety feature, I understand. But now, having the ability to adjust snd bring the drone closer to you while it follows/tracks you makes this drone so valuable. This drone, because of those updates to adjust the height and tracking distance to the subject, has essentially voided the cameraman that has to follow you as a creator. This drone just fired your second employee. INSANE. I am still going to get the mavic 3 Pro, but I am sure these features will also come in a firmware update in a couple of months. I'm totally fine with waiting. I need the video quality of the mavic 3 Pro, but I need the tracking features of the Mini 4 Pro. Good job DJI!

Glad they finally added waypoints but geez, Parrot had that feature, ran it on my old Bebop 2, and it was full featured like using Lichi, YEARS ago…albeit without obstacle avoidance…but meh, you had to seriously plan…and the interface was nifty….just sayin’

I'm in the same boat,I think we air 2s flyers are being punished and left behind, my air 2s does everything I want it to do, but I would certainly want waypoints, I don't want to have to upgrade because all the new drones are built in very thin plastic and does not feel as solid as the air 2s does, plus excellent in the wind and video/pic quality is far superior if you know your settings, but I must say I'd like to add the mini 4 pro to the group, thanks Russ for another very informed video.

I'm confident you could have color graded the Cinelike to the same look as the DlogM although in cases of extreme contrast range DLog M would allow you to pull back the brights.

+1 on Care Refresh. Used it on my Mini 3 Pro. Express exchange arrived 2nd day. DJI general repair service is great as well. Mishap with my 4-year old Mavic 2 Pro. $88 got me a new Mavic 2 Pro which I was then able to purchase a 2-year Care Refresh plan for! SCORE!

I was going to hold out to get the Mavic 3 Pro. However, I think I’m going to grab the Mini 4 Pro. I know the Mavic 3 Pro is a superior drone, but for travel and for what I fly for, I feel the Mini 4 Pro would do me the best. The Obstacle avoidance is key for me. I had a tree jump out and whack my Mini 3 Pro. I also learned that the Care Refresh is critical for these guys. Equally amazed at the response from DJI on receiving the replacement drone. Think they will add Focus Track/Focus Trace updates to Air 3? For Mavic 3, i could see some separation of features but Air 3 could easily support those moves. Waypoints provides SMOOTHER FLIGHT MOTIONS AND ZOOMING THAN EVEN THE WHEELS AND STICKS ON THE CONTROLLER IS CAPABLE OF.
