When you put it in Cruise Control you weren't moving forward, just slowly up, so that's what was locked in. Nothing unusual happened, no mystery there.

When doing these video, consider turning down or muting that beeping noise!!! Very annoying!!! But great video!!!

The aerials inside the drone pick up the signal better from behind the drone, you could fly back in reverse to keep a good signal.
