@17:00 min or thereabouts.when talking about the charger not charging the RC until batteries are charged. The USB-A output at the bottom of the charger is designed to use the 3 batteries as a powerbank to charge other devices, controller, cell phone. Hence, once the RC begins charging, it is actually discharging the batteries.

They have now updated the mini 4 battery and it IS different and lighter too. Also the triple charger acts as a power bank to charge the remote if required it doesn’t charge the remote until it’s charged the batteries as that port was not intended to charge the remote off mains power.

I just had one for my birthday, and this thing is absolutely amazing. Be aware and don't trust obstacle avoidance too much because I've crashed into the tree on my first flight. However, DJI was super helpful, and after assessing the damage, they sent me a brand new one with a little fee. Insure your machine with DJI Protect, and they will help you out in five working days. From now on, I will be a lot more careful while flying, but fair play to DJI for such a flawless and quick response. I'm just waiting for the weather to improve and we are going to practice some more. Great machine. Highly recommend.

The obstacle avoidance is good not perfect. Thin branches of trees without leaves, and power lines are big culprits. I would watch out for some fences too. The Mini 4 Pro is perfect. Excellent signal strength, great camera and portable.

@ALTN8NRG Have you ever had bird attacks? I heard that reflective stickers will scare birds off. My drone looks so pretty with them. Looks like a british Police car. :D

@@arth0044N I’ve been chased by a flock of birds. I didn’t know they were camped out in a few trees. It looked like a swarm coming for my drone. I’ve had single birds chase and dive at my drones. I didn’t know one was chasing me on one flight until I reviewed the video afterwards. I’ll try stickers if they’re effective.

@DustinDunnil 10:17 It does have a battery percentage check built in all you have to do is press the button once and how many lights show up is the percentage of the battery 1 light 25% 2 lights 50% 3 lights 75% 4 lights 100%

Range test? Man, I could never do that, but thanks for the test, and post! I’m almost petrified if I loose my ‘line of sight’…so I’ve repeatedly tested the RTH to my confidence! I laugh sometimes because it’s like it sneaks up on me, suddenly there it’s hovering overhead right before it descends to land! Thanks a bunch!

I have DJI Mini 3 pro and I LOVE IT! I don't see any good reason to purchase Mini 4 pro. I am just curious about the range, whether there is truly a significant difference between mini3 and mini 4?

The 4 uses the new Ocusync 4 which almost doubles the transmission range compared to O3. You'll notice much better penetration through obstacles as well 🍻

Congrats on your new drone. Ordered mine last night since yesterday was its release date. Recently bought the Mini 3 Pro, but it was defective as the video didn't work and was refunded. So the Mini 4 Pro was sort of my replacement. Would have been pretty upset if the Mini 3 Pro hadn't been defective - lol.

Indeed! This is the 2nd review I've seen where they do NOT mention if they're included or not. Website says they're not even available right now.. I'm guessing the reviewers were sent these as special promos, not included in the "Plus" bundle. I'm ordering the plus anyway, you never know maybe it IS in there. Only difference I could find on DJI's website for the "Plus" bundle is that it comes with 3 of the longer flight batteries so I'm ordering one of the the lighter batteries on the side so I know the difference of the lighter drone. Only 65 buck for the battery but the longer life which 3 are included are 95 each! so it's a significant savings alone as the bundle.

Filters and wide angle will be sold separately as far as I know. The combos include everything in their specific sealed box as seen. Sometimes Dji changes contents included from time to time but if so, usually only in a new product release. 🍻

Dustin does this have the option to get the extended battery plus like on the mini 3 pro? I started to wait and order this today but I decided to order the air 3 instead because knowing how DJI drones have worked in the past they will probably have to release a few firmware updates to fix any bugs or issues like they always do with a new product so I will wait about a month or so before ordering it. My air 3 will be delivered Wednesday I can’t wait to fly it

My drone never shows satellites inside my home. Since i live in the West Virginia mountains, I have to set the RTH function to the maximum altitude. My first drone crashed into a tree because I hadn't raised the height.The Optimal setting would be a waste of time as there are many, many trees.

Look. Depends of your budget. I have this newest one with the screen and antenas, which is top of the range and your phone is in your pocket just giving you WiFi signal. If I was you, I would get the newest controller, because you have worry free experience for years to come. All of them are good, to be honest, but this setup is absolutely amazing.
