Saw a video the other day saying you don't need to take off the lens cover, so gave it a try - what do you think?

Don't tell them its the lens cover, tell them its a brand new ND filter. Who needs anamorphic filter when you have the trippy filter. Great video Shaun, thanks for sharing.

Hello :) It is certainly possible to fly with the camera cover, but the degradation of image quality is great. Probably good for beginners who are afraid of damaging their camera before they learn more confidence in their skills.

There are some visible distorrion or whatever it's called on the video with the gimbal cover put on. I have a neo too, and it has been fun flying with it.

You can get some nice impact guards that click in place the same as the cover, ive hit dozens of trees, I know eventually one of them is going to get the camera

My Neo has the worst gps coverage of any DJI drone I have. Half the time I just fly it in the red in my back yard because it just takes forever or is very inconsistent in how many it gets lol.

@@shaunthedrone still a great drone. But I use several other DJI drones for commercial purposes and none of them are as slow to receive or gets so few GPS Satellites as the Neo. It flys great and is a great little toy drone. Which is what I got it for, so no harm no foul. I’ll probably be flying it the most from now on. The batteries charge super quick and they hold enough power between the 3 that 30+mins of fpv flying is. Great is not too short or so long you’ve got to commit your whole evening to draining packs lol! Nice video!

Interesting, but I don't advise flying Neo with the Lens Cover on. It isn't likely to break anything, but it won't replace an ND Filter, Your video will look awful. Straight up horrendous. Consider the many scratches, smudges & abrasions on that thing. It ONE BENEFIT. MAYBE. It *might save the gimbal motor burning out over time.
