Before buying the action3 I saw plenty of similar reviews on KZbin which kept me wondering whether the DJI Action 3 is worth the investment. Well, let me tell you that it definitely is. I bought it and have been using it extensively, and it has exceeded my expectations. No problems whatsoever.

I'm really surprised how fast the hype went away for both this camera and the Hero 11. I'm still pretty interested in the Osmo Action 3 after years of difficult gopro usage. It just always seems to fail on me.

I got this camera last month for my Bali trip, and it really is a great action cam! I initially choose this camera over GoPro because I want to save some bucks to feast in Bali 😂 Glad I made that choice! Very easy to use during my snorkeling session because it's waterproof so I don't need any housing, has great HDR and decent low light footage, never crash or losing any files, front display with touchscreen (!) and the included accessories in the adventure bundle covered most of my needs (3 batteries + case, 1.5m stick, and 2 magnetic mounts). The only thing that sucks is the frame/protector, I can't mount anything to it so I haven't been able to try it with mics or leds. I need to buy a metal cage once it's available in my country. I think it is perfect for anyone looking for their 1st action cam to buy. Easy to use, cheaper, and overall good quality product 👍

@@bprabawabr I used all three batteries once. One thing to note, if you use the DJI Mimo or Lightcut app, the camera battery will drain faster.

I don't understand why they restrain this action camera with a small sensor when they have an excellent 1" sensor in their Air2s/Phantom4Pro/Mavic2? That's why I'm sticking with the Insta360 RS 1".

Looks really good ✌ I was really considering the DJI but with all hype about the focus issue, i went with the GoPro 11. But now after all the updates, it seems to be a really good choice. I'll probably go with DJi next year if GoPro doesn't do any serious upgrades for the GoPro 12.

To be honest they are both great choices and you can't go wrong with either in my opinion. I like some things more about the Action 3 and some things more about the GoPro 11.

I had Dji action 2 installed on my friend's drone and when it landed 2 guys came and ripped the dji camera from the drone and ran away now I'm left without the camera after I raised money I'm 16 :(

Yeh the only shots with the action 3 are the ones that say shot on the Action 3 over the video. I don’t use action cameras for vlogging style shooting. It’s not that you can’t. I just prefer the image from my Sony A7s iii. But that setup is like $5k so not really a fair comparison 😂

All my footage looks jittery like the auto exposure is all over the place. Footage also seems to have frost around small object s like grass and branches like anti alising issue, its terrible how do i get ride of the skitish feel of the fooatge.

I really wanna buy the action 3 but the focus issues have held me back. I am leaning towards the GoPro I’ve had a hero 6 all these years absolutely no issues. I see many issue with the GoPro freezing and overheating so I’d love to try the action but like I said the focus issues are holding me back. Is it a hardware issue or software issue on the camera

I’m pretty sure none of the new Action 3 units have focus issues. I think it was a hardware issue on some units that they somewhat fixed with software. But I think it’s no longer something of concern.

I much prefer the Action 3 menu settings and you are right. Haven’t had an action 3 freeze on me but GoPro has a couple times.

@@LukeMaximoBell1 I just bought the hero 11. I’m crossing my fingers I had the original hero without issues. I think the SD formatting is a major thing people don’t do. Plus gps and cloud sync is major strain. People use these camera for too long of clips most clips should be 15 minute max in high quality. I film action clips no more than like 10 minutes so I should be able to dodge over heating. I still believe the GoPro is better picture however I believe unless GoPro steps it up with the hero 12 the action 4 if released has the potential to be the top in the industry

@@LukeMaximoBell1 I got a 2022/12 (december batch) osmo acton 3 just recently and it has focus issues. Unfortunately some of the cameras still have problems. It's a hardware issue that can't be corrected with firmware - it's DIY fixable but you have to void your warranty by breaking the glue on the lens and screwing it in/out until it's in focus.
