is it possible to switch screen while recording? I thought it's possible after latest software update

Yes, it's is. It's actually quite helpful. In the new update I actually realise that they changed the way switching screen works. now all you need to do is press the side button once and the screen will switch straight away. if you press the side button a couple of times you can navigate through the quick switch menu like before. Hope that helps.

yes I found out you need to press and hold before it switch screen. I do wish it works with voice command though but no while recording.

Is it possible to keep the front screen off while recording from the front?

Yeah the screen goes off a few minutes into recording. For example I use it for surfing and when I hit record I can see the screen is on and then a few seconds in, only the red light stays on to indicate that you are still recording.
