Holy smokes this is a great video. I had no idea this menu of capabilities was even out there, much less scattered across four apps. Thank you for making it. Liked and subscribed!

thank you for a solid overview video - definitely needed this info. I am keen to see what happens with Apple's DockKit and gimbal makers. The Insta360 gimbal is interesting but I'm looking for a bit more of a pro gimbal where I can put a caged iPhone with lenses and filters on... but use zoom and other controls on the handle for the native apps. I'm also very wary of installing apps from Chinese companies on my primary iPhone...
@KurtPapke4 ай бұрын
@@therobpratt Yes, Dockkit wont solve all the problems, but it should go a long way.

Great video. Exactly what I was looking for. Question: doesn’t MIMO save the DNG files In a separate folder with time lapses? And, aren’t the DNG files HDR? obviously, it’s a lot more work, but wouldn’t that give you HDR time lapse?
@KurtPapkeАй бұрын
@@thatsaloadofcrap great question. No, Mimo saves Timelapses as video files, not series of photos, and those videos are saved as SDR.

@@KurtPapke Ah! i must have been thinking of the Pocket 3. FYI, I was hoping the Mobile 6 plus an iphone would give me a P3 substitute... Sadly, (at least so far) it is not! It can't even seem to keep a level horizon, I'm ready to send it back.... for the Black Friday price of $89, it's a great deal, but it's very buggy. I'll likely by a Pocket 4 the day it's announced. I really like the MIMO App, my main problem is the gimbal itself.
@leocasati2 ай бұрын
its possible to change the gimbal modes( Follow, Tilt Locked, FPV, and SpinShot) using the native camera app? thanks
@KurtPapke2 ай бұрын
@@leocasati yes, that is done with the mode button on the gimbal and doesn’t need Mimo

This video is loaded with such great information. I'm going to have my iPhone mounted in a Beastgrip Pro rig with a lens attached to the front, which may be too heavy for the DJI Osmo to support. Any idea of other DJI gimbals, such as the RS2, or maybe even Zhiyun, that can handle weight similar to a DSLR and are also compatible with the same apps (default Apple camera, Blackmagic Camera App, Final Cut Camera)?
@KurtPapke2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! I am not an expert in gimbals that handle more weight, because I shoot strictly with my bare iPhone. Sorry.
