Nice. Sort of... But your FrankenRig is the reason everyone is waiting for DJI to release a proper handheld support for the X7, and succeeding cameras. Something that already has a handle with function buttons like a aperture wheel and joystick + room for decent battery and slots for SSD(s). I'm thinking the size of a Canon XC-15, roughly, but with a mount for the gimbal in front instead on a normal lens mount. Once it's out I'll sell most of my Canon 1Dx mkII setup and with that plus an Inspire 3 or similar. So yes, this is the "camera of the future".

Hello Mumbo! That's a seriously awesome little rig! I'm glad to see you've got a follow focus wheel on the rig, too. By the way, you'll find you can use a dry erase marker on that follow focus, so you can set numbers for each element of interest within the depth of a scene. You will need an assistant to pull focus whilst you shoot, though. That's how follow focus is done in the industry. Thanks for the beautiful footage. :)

I use this Osmo Raw Setup with the additional vertical z axis for my youtube projects. Then in my last holliday in the Philippines the Osmo handle itselfs broken at the contact base! So nice this setup is at all: its much too bulky and heavy for the tiny Osmo handle what is made almost of plastic. It can hold webcams like X3 or phones but its time for DJI to bring out an professionell Osmo handle made from aluminium. At least for the new Zenmuse X7R wich is much bigger and more heavy then the X5R!

That's some really impressive quality from that camera, I can see it's aimed at pros though, anyone with a modicum of sense will use an external mic for sound anyway, also it seems to be the way nowadays that companies that produce the cameras always have proprietary storage solutions rather than using common methods, but I can see why they would, to guarantee compatibility and speed.

If you run out of the RAW storage you can record 4k compressed to the MicroSD - Yes? I was wondering if you loose a few frames when the clip breaks at (i think) 4gb. On the Osmo+ when the camera breaks the file it looses about 2 seconds of footage... yikes! was wondering if the Osmo RAW did that when reordering to MicroSD cards. Be blessed!

I added some stabilisation in post to a few of the clips, so any warping you see will be caused by that :)
