DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ How to remove Wifi module and properly heatsink it

A lot of wifi modules are failing on the Phantom's and BurlBark on phantompilots.com recommended to take it apart to heatsink it properly.
I know this video is long, but I wanted to show it all step by step, it is up to you to decide to jump to different parts as you see fit.

Thanks to both Palak Desai and Burlbank on Phantom Pilots forum for your combined guidance on how to carry out this mod, Having watched your video a couple of times PD I'm gaining the confidence to have a go at it myself. Your efforts at making the video were not wasted even though I understand your problem ended up being the antenna connection rather than the wifi unit.

Reversing the top of the phantom shell will reverse the direction your GPS is facing. Probably not a good way to fly it without making the adjustments in the assistant software.

Do you have a video for replacing the Wi-Fi module cables to the gimbal?

Never fix electronics on the carpet floor. ESD can destroy your chips on the board. This should of been done on a workbench with an anti static mat with an anti static wrist strap. He is also working with chemicals without protective gloves. At least he is wearing some eye protection (his glasses), but that is not good either. Protective eye wear would be much better. He never shows us that his repair actually worked.

I really don't understand why you people film these helpfull videos but the bits you miss out is most important part of video show takeing everything apart not I'll be back after I remove it show how to remove the parts easy or not not everyone knows exactly what to do ty

Hello, my drone is not transmitting video to the phone. I opened this wifi module and added paste and some aluminum plates, but still no video. The drone works well in air conditioner. I want to reflow the respective chip, but I don't know which is. I doubt for any of AWL6153 power amplifiers. Can you help me?

Hey man, I would like ask you about a problem with my drone, The drone does not send image fpv to my Android, but if you take a photo, you can see in the Phone on gallery of dji vision app.. Is the same problem with yours?

So your video feed would just stop, would it restart? Is this a common problem rather than the wifi module going bad.

franco vettori ciao ho un problema con il phantom 2 vision plus.... il cellulare (samsung s6 plus) mi riconosce il wifi del drone, tramite app della dji mi dice connesso con pallino verde, apro la cam e mi da solo la % dell'extender wifi ma per il resto nulla....non mi fa muovere cam, non mi da altidudine, niente percentuale batteria ecc ecc sai come posso risolvere? Ho fatto anche biding ma niente....
