I understand many are having this problem. Same here. I had mine working for over 200 flights and them boom. Lost all live feed. I can control everything but cannot see what I'm shooting. If no solution soon...class action lawsuit

Hi everyone, Thanks Enrique for bringing this out. I'm facing the same problem and no solution found. My Phantom used for 3 fly only and not more than 50 minutes then i put it in the box for about 6 months. Today 09.02.2017 i tried to fly but i face this problem. I contacted he support today and no one help. They gave me steps to follow like binding and so but no fix work. I don't know if today anybody has the solution. In Oman there is no DJI support and i can send the bird outside for the rules here.

There is 3 main ARM computation cores in both the DJI Phantom 2 Vision and the DJI Phantom 2 Vision+. 1 is a camera buffer and also controls recording and photo taking, it also relays the video to the 2nd chip and the SD card files directly to the 3rd chip. The 2nd chip is the Live Video Decoder. It converts the video the the requested format and then sends it to the 3rd chip, it gets the hottest and is the one that fails in the situation. the 3rd chip decodes the telemetry data and is also part of the wifi daughterboard so it has all the data being collected and organised in it before being sent off to the repeater and then your phone.

Unfortunately, even though the chip the fails is on it's own daughter board, they are not sold by them selves. This chip is also the one that we know the least about because of it's security flags that DJI has setup and we can only get RAM dumps out of it. This means we can't manufacture boards to replace these failed boards.

i have the same problem after not flying the phantom 2 v plus for about 1 year. dji inspected it, the wifi module inside the bird burn out due to overheating. you need to replace wifi module. but i don't understand how the wifi module failed with i not using it!

SAME here...... My Bird was in my closet for 2 years, and was working FINE when I last flew. I have NEVER crash, or even hard landed my drone. Took out last week, charged up, and replaced Controler batteries. Powered up, and everything appears NORMAL, but where the videofeed use to be is ONLY a "swirling" small icon, like it is trying to connect, but never has "live video". Like most other people report, the Camera does take photos, and record. Wish someone could come up with a soulution, for all of us that spent over $1,500.00 4 years ago, for an undependable DRONE, with NO Mfg. support. It's like they took my $, and RUN! I HOPE & wish they NEVER Sell another Drone!

I can spell class action lawsuit. My camera got fried too with the app update. Also we have a search and rescue phantom 3 professional drone at our local rescue squad, it is inoperable because of an app update. That bird won't even fly. I think if we all got together we could get our drones fixed with a class action lawsuit.

I just fired mine up after sitting for 2-3 years and have this problem now. Never had any issues with it before in the 4 years I've owned it. The idea that the app is causing the issue seems somewhat plausible to me, but I wouldn't expect them to keep it in the store if they knew it was causing the issue.. unless it's a scummy deliberate move to fry the module as some people theorize.

I have a Phantom 2 Vision, same issue, even though the camera and gimbal are different, the problem seems to be identical. Mine's no longer under warrantly and has been operating flawlessly for about a year until about 2 months ago. Nothing seems to work, and I really don't think the camera is the issue, since the camera takes pictures and is transmitting all the telemetry data via wifi to the Vision app. This screams software issue to my inexperienced ears, but I could be wrong.

It's the same problem with me too.. I took my pv2+ to the reseller here in India .. And the guy here told me that there is this wifi transmitter Part 03 is causing the problem we will have to replace it with the new one .. Even though my phantom is under warranty they are not entertaining the warranty... They are saying I will have to Pay 300$ s for the replacement..

Someone needs to get a class action lawsuit going. Same thing happened to me and I just got off chat with DJI ... they claim this has never happened before. They Acted very confused about what had caused it or what the fix is. They send it in for repair out of warrantee. I had one of the original Phantom fly aways also. DJI is the worst customer service of any company I've ever worked with. This video is exactly what mine is doing.

They are so full of it!!!! I have called them repeatedly and they assure me that my problem is unique, and may have occurred in a rough take off or landing..... If any one comes up with a solution, that would be great!!

Bought mine in 2015...now 2023 and I have the same problem. Takes pics/video but no video to cell phone. All other telemetry is good. I am a DJI junkie...have 4 of their Drones. Mini 3 pro next.

I still can't believe that DJI is doing nothing about this. I just flew one time replaced battery went for a new round a bamb. crashed on the floor mid flight. app says camera connection broken!!! but everything works fine except the connection to WiFi extender and black screen.

Im having the same problem. On the first flight it works great but after I change the flight battery and start it up again to fly again I cannot get no video feed to my phone and yes its connected as I too can take pictures and video but I think there is something getting hot and not allowing it to work.

I have the same problem, everything works, but no view. I can see that there are a handful of shortcuts that some say work for them. I'm going to try them and report back. Shouldn't have to do a guessing work around, and yes the dji support is of no help. Oh, just buy a new one. Yeah, right, I like this one, lol

I just pulled my P2V+ out of its storage case after about 5 months of non-use. It worked fine when I put it away 5 months ago. Now I am having the same black screen problem on the camera view. I can adjust camera from phone and view all status indicators. I can even take photos and record video, just no view from the camera. What changed after 5 months of sitting in a box? Tried different phones. reinstalled app. Nothing. This is total b.s. Lots of people with the same problem. Some say to throw $200 at it and get the wifi module replaced. That is b.s. too. How about DJI replace the damned modules?

Same problem here in the Netherlands. I have a new phone and hade to install the dji app again. On my old phone it worked fine. But on my new phone no live view. Then go back to the old phone.... Well the i have to dive into a river....

Do u use the original sd card? Camera is fkn picky and wont accept many cards. I put in 32gb in mine after phantom connection error, and phantom camera error - works great after that.

No live feed for me now. I only had a handful of flights on mine, no crashes, etc. I stored it in a case in my house for 6 months. I pull it out and no video feed. Worked fine when I stored it 6 months ago. Piece of expensive crap.

I couldn't fix it. I had my Phantom replaced by the store where I bought it. It was still under the 30 days return period so it was not a big problem.

If they cant fix it class action for sure. I have flown mine for two years no problems. Just went to try VR and found i can't get a camera feed on any device. Tried rebinding but nothing. Can anyone tell me when the update was? Last flight was december 2016 i just tried today 1st of feb 2017 and nothing.

Nope. I tried everything, including a different wifi extender. It appears that the video sending module on the camera was bad, but since the camera is an all-in-one unit, there is no way to fix it other than buying a new camera/gimbal for ~$700. I ended up sending the whole phantom back and getting a replacement. The new one works perfectly. This was definitely a defect and I don't think you can "fix" it yourself.

I did, but still no video. Get data, can take a picture and move, but still no video. Call a local shop about this, but they haven't returned any of my calls about this problem.
