I just flew my Phantom 4 and the entire gimble assembly was dangling from the ribbon cable. Thanks to your video I took the P4 apart and fixed the issue. The 4 screws came loose from the dampener bracket @ 29:26. Great Video.

Thank you so much for this video. I believe my dampening plate is bent causing my issues where camera is to the side and goes back and forth. I was able to follow your video perfectly and I even called you about this issue and you gave me direction on starting with replace dampening plate. If that doesnt work to replace the Yaw arm and then finally replace the esc chip as last option. I really appreciate your time and efforts,

I got to the final step on the removal, but 2 of the little screws were in tight I could not get them out. I guess I will have to take the heads off and hope I can get them out with small needle nose pliers, but it seems doubtful. I will also have to replace those screws and heaven knows who sells them. Great video!! Very helpful.

Great video and a big help for me. I recently crashed my P4 and it hit hard enough it dislodged one of the 4 internal dampening mounts the bracket hangs from. Just followed this video and finished putting it back together. On thing I did notice though, was that the L shaped bracket you put back on at 31:40 is opposite of they way it was when you took it off, and opposite of the way mine was, although I'm sure it's likely okay either way..

At 8:40, the area you're working on, makes a weird noise, therefore my gimbal doesn't work properly. I don't get a error message but the sound is weird and it has a very smooth vibration that makes the image wooble. Now, seeing your video I'm willing to open the main logic board myself but out of your experience can you tell what the problem could be? The video is amazing ,the soundtrack is so calming. Thank you .

Excellent insight to what's inside my Phantom 4 ! What powered screw driver unit are you using ? I'd suggest using a magnetic work mat to secure those runaway little screws . . . Thank you for sharing !

Hi, i had a crash with my p4pro and the yaw motor was completely destroyed. I bought new one and replaced it succesfuly but the camera wont face 100% in center and when i fly it there is strange wobble from left to right, its really noticeable in video. I tried different yaw motors and the problem persists, what you think could go wrong ?

hi I need some advice please. I recently purchased a Phantom 4.. and typical of me.. I panicked and crashed it.. no serious damage per say BUT two of the propellers have a scuff on them.. now is it safe to fly with those two scuffed propellers? or do I need to replace them? thanks awaiting your reply.

Hi Wathana, have you had problems with camera yaw position post yaw motor replacement? i.e. pointing left or right and not in center? I've heard that hey use magnetic sensors/hall effect to determine gimbal orientation and yaw motor maybe calibrated int the factory? thanks

Did you have to recalibrate you sensors after repairing? Mine says hovering and obstacle avoidaince may fail.

I think it's a problem of yaw motor not the yaw arm, you can get the arm straighten from a carpenter shop, but to fix you need to buy new yaw motor...

Thanks for this, I have the same issue with mine. Is it also usual for the bent arm to cause the gimbal motors to get really warm and for it to come up with a warning saying the motors are overloaded?

I followed your video at the weekend. I noticed one mistake, at 31:45 it looks like you put the L piece back on in the wrong orientation over the ribbon cable if you compare it to just before you remove it at 7:00.

Unfortunately even after the replacement my gimbal is still having problems yawing - it's similar to before where it won't center and oscillates in the yaw direction. The yaw motor is also getting warm. I'm thinking the motor itself might be damaged. Thoughts?

Hi! I have P4P and camera aint center. It looks a few degrees to the left...so thats a bit annoying when flying and it wont go straight...any suggestions? There is a warranty but i am thinking to try to repair it by my self. There where the yaw arm is attached could there be screw lose etc...because when i gently turn the gimbal (power off) to the right few times i am able to straighten it (seeing with power on) but it wont stay there...it could go back that left position in the time of one flight...so what to do?

My phantom 4 gimbal/camera is facing slightly to the right. I tried IMU and gimbal calibration but it doesn't seem to help. The camera level and the roll and pitch is fine. It's just the yaw is always couple degrees to the right. Any idea how to fix this problem?

Your Problem sounds like its related to the damper plate located within the recess of the under belly of the drone's gimbal, it might be a little off center

Great video but the piano is depressing along with sometimes u repeat yourself 3 times or more, "we going to put cover screw on, the cover screw goes on the cover, the screw goes on the cover right here, ok? , now that we have that one screw on the cover, we got another screw that goes on cover, ok, right here is the screw for the cover , now the screw goes on cover right here, ok" unquote. " Geez Lewis I believe I got a year older and I'm a dam expert on cover screws and all screws on the p4. Gonna have nightmares on screws ok?
