0:40 this will happen if you use 5.8Ghz and angle the antennas at a 45 degree angle they need to be 90 degrees to the drone to work well. I did a test with a friend I got on top of the sugar loaf ( a mountain in Ireland) he got in a car drove 500m and held the drone in the air and took off I had the drone set up so it was in trainer mode this lets 2 people fly the drone at a time the master can take control at any time. but the slave will be ignored if the master makes any movements on the sticks. then he move the drone 500m further and trued again . we found that if you point the remote antennas 90 degrees to the drone you can get it 8Km away with no video dropout. also if you use iOS ( iPod , iPhone all that stuff) you can turn on hardware decoding and get smaller latency. this is supposed by default on the pro + and is way faster then any device on the pro but still you cannot even see the difference( it only a few milliseconds difference) any way and considering that it cost €300 more you could buy a second battery and a good tablet instead.

I'd sat calibrate everything after the new updates. Or also go to the DJI support 2 app In the DJI site and calibrate the sensors , the IMU etc.

I heard you say there is no protection for the gimble? It does come with a gimble lock when your not flying it that you can use...unless that got tossed out during the unboxing. quite a few of the problems sound like the drone not being calibrated before each flight as suggested. I have not noticed any gimble tilt issues from anyone elses videos.

Quadcopter Land ok, so like a guard that the mavic appears to have? Like the plastic globe around the camera or is there a different guard I should be looking for? I have seen some videos where people have issues with the gimble out of the box that appears to be bad gears during its clearing run pointing down and up. I do hope I don't get a bad one since I will hopefully get my p4p+ in maybe a week if my local store has it in stock and I plan on doing a video of unboxing and set up so anyone can see any problems, if any, it has.

Matchlock at least calibrate the compass before each flight unless your in the same location and weather has not changed. Pilots always calibrate everything when flying so they have accurate information, same would go for compass calibration for UAS.

Thank you, last time I checked. Dji recommended calibrating compass before every flight, and calibrate IMU after every firmware update.

I have one other big issue with my p4p. When flying it, even only a few feet away from me, it will drift up and down randomly without me controlling it. It can move up to 4 feet in either direction and it is very dangerous

Steve Farnsworth alot if bad things about this drone loud as he'll to big hard to take everywhere you wanna go unlike the mavic 4k camera easy to put in the air and quit plus easy to take everywhere mavic also has range to and the controller is small unlike the fantom that s my right not the mavic is the best drone on the market today

I use ipad and the app never crashes on me. I also don't get that unstable shaking at take off or landing. Maybe you just got a bad bird?

No latest firmware issue with vibration here when landing. I use IOS with Go4 and NEVER a software crash or glitch. Same with the P4 i had...never an issue. I have read that many Android users have had software crashes issues however.

Sorry I was helping another individual with his bird issues. From all the test I have done, you might want to hold tight because I rolled back the firmware and it seems to have fixed many of my new issues. I may have to do even more test to confirm my findings. Don't return it because of that.

Thanks for the Pros and Cons. I also had issues with a Samsung tablet (Tab S2 8") not working well with my P4P and had to return it. I am not a big Apple fan... so I really wanted to get Android to work but grew pretty frustrated. I went ahead and got an iPad and it has never crashed yet. (Nor has my P4P!) I don't have a lot of hours logged (about 12) but so far so good. I didn't have issues with the gimbal not being level until the last firmware update and it seems intermittent. BTW, if you press and hold the C2 button on the remote, and at the same time turn the control wheel on the right side (the one that is also a button) you can adjust the gimbal on the fly (no pun intended). Super fast and easy! Thanks again! I'm subscribed!

I use an ipad pro 9.7 inch with polarised sunglasses and a sunshade and I get awesome results in direct sunlight not too much trouble seeing the screen in Direct sunlight. It will be awesome when DJI release that dji Crystal sky monitor of which I will be getting. That gets up between 1000 and 2000 nits of brightness.

Mavic is nice in the fact that it is portable, on the other hand, P4P for is nice because of the camera. Both are good drones, just personal preference.

I stop using my Samsung and my other android tablets. I purchased a Ipad mini 4 so I could use the Autopilot app. After I started using the Ipad mini 4. I never had another crash with my DJI GO 4 app.

Lots of wrong info here No need to do any calibration unless the app tells you too. Fly mine in several states around the USA and rarely ever get a compass calibration request and never a IMU request. Never had a single issue with P4P+.

That is a good thing for you, glad to see you dont have any issues. The calibrations i refer to is to try fixing gimbal tilt, not everytime i fly. You should always do a compass calibration every time you change location.

Like i say i love my phantom 4 pro, 👍🏼 awesome product but that left stick down shut off motors in mid flight issue just needs to be sorted no big deal i know i made the right decision when buying a drone.

From what i have observed, the bird must be moving, the obstacle avoidance only beeps if you walk up to it. Trust me, i tried it.

Hi, as far as adding apps on the DJI pro PLUS tablet, i believe DJI made the tablet to FLY the DRONE and not to entertain with it. they have done a very professional job which also include the HDMI cable availability

I agree 100% I flew my 2600 dollar phantom 4 plus pro and went only 10 blocks and then all of a sudden I lost my signal and the app crashed! I went into panic mode .... literally went into crying mode my self, scared and afraid I pressed the button really fast (home) to retrieve it thinking it will just fall away it came back home, but now I am terrified to fly this bird 2 miles as I am gonna really loose it I do hope that they will upgrade there app to perfection soon! Because this will never do the 4.3 miles as stated Over all I love it and it's my baby Ps love the real facts about your video all said is true and real Thanks

Sounds like you got a dud bro. I just got mine and I'm not experiencing any of the issues you are talking about other than the blind spot issue but that's obvious because it's a blind spot. And the detachable cameras are on the Inspire drones. Just get that one. There are options of drones to buy that fit your needs.

This is my second P4P, most of the issues started after firmware issue. The older models gimbal was able to be replaced without sending your bird in for repairs. That was a nice option to have.

Almost every one of those issues are either operator error or their is a solution built in. Dropped signal, switch to 5.8, that's what its for. Vibration, balance you're props. Your the only person with that issue. Camera focus, its tap to focus so if you don't tap, it don't focus. Gotta send it back, no. Dji sells a complete gimbal assembly. Its can easilly be separated from the aircraft. Horizon tilt, you can adjust it in the app. App crash, get an apple devise.

I'm in phantom forums everyday and I stand by my previous statement. I have a p4 so I'm not just talking out my ass. I don't have any of those problems. I can easily fly 10,000ft in the jungle with no loss of video and I don't have the option to switch to 5.8ghz for video transmission. I don't, nor have I heard of any unstable flight at take off or landing. Perhaps you Ned to calibrate your IMU. That could explain your horizon tilt as well. Tap to focus will fix your focus issue. Even when its on auto focus, tap to focus anyway. I've taken my gimbal assembly off a few times and its just as easy if not easier than removing the p3 gimbal. 8 screws and it pops off. Two more screws folding the connections on and that's it, its off. Dji will mail you a replacement or you can get one on eBay. App crash, everybody knows djigo 4 is unstable on android. I've never crashed on my iPhone 6.

Grayson Miller why should someone have to shell out for an iPad/iPhone when they've spent £1500 on a drone? To have an app that simply works with your OS and doesn't crash all the time isn't a big ask, especially when you've forked over a grand over to them.

To many small issues that make it less tolerable than previous model, especially the video feed being lost while flying and app crashing while flying. It was an improvement with my ipad 4 mini purchase. But why should i have to go buy another tablet because of compatibility issues. My Samsung 7egde doesn't even load the app anymore, that sucks, and my Samsung tablet works only half the time since last firmware update.

I'm on my third one and it will still get IMU and Compass errors mid-flight. That is very bad. That basically is your gyros and "guidance" system. It will kill your GPS and switch you to ATTI (manual) mode, mid-flight mode wich means a strong wind can push it around. I use my drones professional to film shipping on the Great Lakes and have been able to send every model since the Phantom 3 out a mile or 2 to get shots of ships on the water without any real worry. I will barely let either (I have 2 now. I bought two, sent one back for repairs. DJI replaced it, and the third one is doing what the other two were doing.) of my P4 Pros out beyond a few thousand feet. I don't trust them at all. Gimbal constantly goes crooked, IMU and Compass errors, constant high wind warnings (no wind present), vison sensor errors that cause it to get "stuck" 300 and 400 feet in the air. Like I said, this is the third P4P I've used (I've owned 7 different Phantoms )and all these errors have occurred on all three. It is almost unusable for aerial filming.
