Great review mate. Yet, I think you did the comparison wrong on "preparing flight, flying to trash can and getting back" part. They should start in their bags. Coz the biggest advantage of getting Mavic ready to fly is it doesn't need to put on the propellers when it comes in/out of the box. So I think, if you put all of the drones from their box, mavic will definitely wins the competition. Coz these phantoms needs to get their propellers ready. Just my opinion. Thank you again.

Was the moire in the original footage? Most noticably, at 6:28 there is a ton of moire on a building's Christmas/accent lighting. It is on the 1st lower third of the frame. The line of lights ends up inside the lowest and leftmost third.

Well, I bought the Phantom 4 pro plus the other day. It flies great and has great video. The only problem I have is the GIMBLE points to the left. I have done numerous " Auto Gimble Calibration" , with the same results. After closer inspection, I noticed the camera points to the left, weather the drone is on or off. When I attempted to send it in for repair, The DJI return form does not recognize my address. It says my zip code is wrong. I've had the same zip since I built the house 11 years ago. This is getting frustrating, to say the least.

Just want to know if the screen that you can get better than a iPhone. I'm thinking a phantom 4 pro or inspire 2 to replace my phantom 4. All I do is I love taking photographs of northern Wisconsin. Do you have to be on wifi to fly ?

Surprised no mention of h265. Bitrate is meaningless without knowing the codec. So 100mb for 4k60p is pretty rubbish if h264 ( about the same, a bit worse than the 60mb 4k30p u get with the p4 and mavic). On the other hand if you are shooting 100mb with h265 all bets are off. You'd need to covert to vp9 to upload to KZbin and benefit from that for KZbin videos, but for regular stuff as a general rule, shooting in h265 'doubles your effective bitrate compared to h264. E.g. If you can shoot h265 at 100mb 4k60p you should achieve about the same quality and lack of artefacts that you would if you could record at 200mb in h264.... hence its a pretty big deal... so be good to see some side by side comparisons and what the h265 encoder limitations are (for example I thought I'd seen it only does up to 60mb which all but regates it benefit if you can shoot in 100mb h264)

Got my regular phantom 4 pro yesterday. I finally got it up in the air today. It's going to take time to run through the gamut of these settings but the videos do look pretty decent out of the card. Next step is to learn color grading. Then I can work on the flying and shooting.

It's relative. The test is standard for all DJI drones: minutes of hover to 10% battery at some given ideal temperature.

Well done. I have a PV2+ that was a lemon. I've been hesitent to purchase another DJI and I'm faced with the dilemma to buy the P4Pro+ or something else. Awesome video! I have the Phantom 4 and am considering upgrading to the 4 Pro for the added proximity sensing and 30 more FPS at 4K, but I am really interested in the Plus models transmitter display. I'm so tired of hooking my phone up to the remote, trying to position it just right so not to mess with the buttons on the side of the phone, the cable required, and the flights interrupted by calls or notifications on the phone. And YES the added brightness of the Plus display is a welcome benefit. But heres a question I have yet to find an answer for.. MAPS... How does the P4P+ display get its map info? the compass is good, but I use the map on my phone as well, and would not want to lose that feature. What other Specific differences are there when using the + display over using a phone?

Did your drone come with a 16GB Sony Micro SD card inside the Card Slot of your drone? I ordered a brand new one from Adorama and I had this Micro SD card installed inside the drone already....Drone did not work properly and I just got an exchange and boom again another Micro SD card inside my drone and this time my props aren't in a carry pouch so they must keep sending me a refurbished unit but just wanted to check and see if you had this as well?
