Great review! I absolutely LOVE my P4P! I've never had a problem with the app crashing using my Galaxy S7 Edge and I've had mine since the 2nd week in December. I've flown it in -20 degree F weather multiple times. I have noticed some jello in my video in sub zero temps, but other than that it's an amazing quad. Keep up the good work bro!

I have the Phantom 2 vision,the Phantom 3 pro,both of which were purchased used and only have had them for 2 months.I really like the 3 Pro and yesterday I had the opportunity to make the purchase of a refurbished 4 pro and at a great price and jumped at the chance. Hope that when it arrives it will be just as good as new like they say it should be.

Great review! I wish I could afford one. It would come in handy surveying properties and with our volunteer fire dept if we have more missing persons which unfortunately we do get. I'm where the Mississippi river and Ohio river meet and we do have several searches/recoveries a year A drone would make it MUCH FASTER!

Good review as usual,. Dji insist on keep changing everything so nothing from previous versions will work with new version requiring you to buy more props, more batteries, ect. I like my phantom, and Mavic, but I also think my GoPro Karma has features that are superior if you are looking at video or photography. Sensors are nice but only two crashes I have had was hitting limbs above the quad.

I use a Samsung j3 prime and never had problems use it with my p4 and p4 pro works great never had video stall or blur it's awesome I guess just depends on how how many apps your running and app notifications. Never had problems with my cheap prime j3 with metro pc

Thanks for this great review. One question- How come your video looks so fantastic on KZbin? My experience has shown that my HD uploads don't look nearly as good, especially when viewing on Full screen - it seems that KZbin limits the resolution somehow. Thanks.

Make sure your KZbin viewing settings are set to the quality you know the video was uploaded at. I only found this out myself last week after a computer tech mate pointed it out to me.

Hi Justin, I found your old video on the DJI phantom 4 that I am getting this week once again since my last one as you know was stolen. I am still going to buy the mini that you recommended by email. As you know I wanted one to hook up my thermo camera for search and rescue operations and was unsure if the mini was capable of doing it so I wanted this one first. Mine is coming with an iPad mini in which I felt was nice at least I hope until I buy a smart controller with its own screen. The seller fortunately respects vets like you do and understands my injuries from understanding my injuries from overseas and is throwing a few extras he stated and like you assisting me where he can. I appreciate you covering details about it much like the heat factor since Florida is a very high heat state. I would appreciate a call from you at some point as I know that I will need to get a remote i.d. to be legal of course here in the near future. The drone officially was shipped as of yesterday so I should be receiving it in a few days.

Can anyone please tell me if the Phantom 4 Pro has the ability to come back to the controller by using home lock in case I am moving during piloting,, ( like on the boat for example ) so meaning my starting and current position have changed.. thanks a lot

my p4p+ is not so good as yours ,mine as poor video feed at close range at 4k at 1080p it ok, then my app crashes ,the range is not so good as my old p3p , what firmwear is on yours i read that that there put updated firmwear in the later ones now,

Thanks for the nice review. One remark: When one motor drops out can't the opposite motor stop too? In that case the Phantom might be able to fly with 2 propellors, no? No crash then. But that needs a soft(firmm)ware update by DJI I presume.

phantom 4 pro since update the screen is very laggy june 2017 any ideas ? Samsung Tab 10.5 used. and the Forced update is not fair fora lot of reasons. But seeing as MOST lots did not fly with rules in mind I can see why. hope you can help. DJI are No Help.

fyi. You can buy a replacement piece for the controller to get the Plus features of hdmi. Easy swap out as well.

I use a Galaxy Tab A and it works great. No crashes and the large picture format works well even in strong sunlight. It also fits nicely in the remotes cradle even with a Samsung cover attached. Display area is 6.5 in x 4.75 in.

Did you begin by saying that DJI do not give support to the Phantom 4; using the same scenario that means next year they won't give support to the Phantom 4 Pro? If that's the case what about consumer rights? Mike in Oz

No sensor on top to protect the propellers in close flying. That is that I need in this small Er size compared to the higher grade Inspire. It is to big. Phantom pro4 is just right but in small inside spaces for my job. Why nothing on top?

DJI Go 4 app update...May 27. Phantom 4 Pro...Be cautious... my update changed the manual controls...It was windy, so brought it home....didn't like where it was landing, so took manual control and the Up control was now Forward!!! Crashed into rocks immediately! Minor damage...2 broken props and 1 prop guard...check settings before you fly!

mr. vain vice fantom 4 is,way to noisy and big to carry all around I have the mavic and it has the same range as the can't 4 but it's smaller easy to carry and put up in the,air fast and it has a 4k camera so there for the mavic is the best drone on the market

just sub'd. I am in the market to get my first drone. I just dont know what to buy....there are a lot out there. I have narrowed it down to the Bugs3 or a Sygma?? i'm sure i'm getting that wrong. Anyways, here is what i'm looking for....can someone help point me in the right direction?? brushless (keep reading its the way to go), 10-20 minutes of flight time, around 150-200m range, can hold a gopro (stability is important), headless mode, return to home. and i'm looking to spend around 100 bucks, give or take. would love some feedback....the bugs3 is just missing the return to home. Since its my first drone, I hear it makes it easier. Unless someone can tell me otherwise. Thanks everyone!

i've had my eyes set on the x16, but keep on back at the bugs 3. I see people had moded a gimbal on it for the gopro. what would you suggest for a gopro ready drone??? I just want one that I know I can fly a good distance and get some cool, steady shots. I know what I want is mostly found in the 1k drones....but hey, I can dream, right?
