Yet another informative video. Keep them coming. :-) I'm guessing the reason the Phantom 4 is off getting repaired for the failing sensor?
@KenHeron8 жыл бұрын
Yes. It's fixed and returning to me as I type this!

Hey Ken. How did you get to 230m ... the ph4 max altitude is 120m... ? EDIT: google wisdom proclaims TOTA is 176m, I'm guessing the restaurant is below 120m? ...
@KenHeron8 жыл бұрын
The maximum altitude of the Phantom 4 is 500 meters. Your go App's default is 120 meters. Simply change the max height to 500. Good luck!

Amazing footage, even with the artifacts ! Thanks for uploading it Ken. I'm going to keep practicing with my P3, so if I am ever granted permission to fly a premium spot like this in a narrow time window I won't be fumbling around...just get her up and start shooting : )

Thanks bud! It actually becomes more fun as your skill level increases!

always enjoying your videos, shame about those pixels, have you ever encountered pink/green lines on videos and reason what is causing it?
@KenHeron8 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I have no idea what causes those. A failing sensor in the camera most likely.

Beautiful footage Ken! Can you elaborate on who "granted permission" to fly the drone for 20 minutes?
@KenHeron8 жыл бұрын
I was sworn to secrecy, but I can tell you the person(s) were wearing uniforms.

Many transmitter antennas on this tower, not afraid of signal interferences? Just asking ! Very nice footage, wish I could do as well thanks.
@TroySwezey8 жыл бұрын
It was built for the World's Fair and do we know for what specific purpose? Radio transmission perhaps? Do we know why they held the World's Fair in San Antonio? Did you get much radio interference during your flight?

So I was in San Antonio last month, and shot my own (P4P) video. I'd like to post it, but (videographer-to-videographer) should I be scared, see'in I was eye-to-eye with the tower as well?
@KenHeron7 жыл бұрын
Hey Mike-- I lucked out that day because there was another media event happening and I was able to get permission to fly. Of course that was a while ago, so policy might be different now. I'd ask permission before posting anything, just to be safe. You'd be amazed how open people can be if you just include them. --Happy flying!

Awesome video. Sucks about the sensor. I wonder if the camera sensor is a common or isolated issue. If you don't mind me asking, how do you go about getting permission to film in places like this?
@KenHeron8 жыл бұрын
The best way to get permission is to simply ask. You'd be surprised how many people will grant permission simply because you were decent enough to ask.
@ULXB2588 жыл бұрын
Which departement did you ask for the permission?
@95TurboCivic8 жыл бұрын
when were you here ..? im actually about 2 miles from the tower and downtown San Antonio.
@miketonyzam8 жыл бұрын
great edit, I've flown my Phantom3 around downtown San Antonio also, who graduated the permission?
@carlosmarioagamez8 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry, Ken, but i am from other country. DO you have to ask permission in order to surround the tower, and + free publicity?
@KenHeron8 жыл бұрын
Yes. Always get permission.
