A friend of the family was in a car accident recently where their 3 year old died. Made us realize how important capturing as many moments as possible with the ones you love really is. Love that you capture yours the way you do. Always wanted, but never pulled the trigger on the Osmo Pocket, definitely will with the Pocket 2. Currently I use my Pixel 6 on a UURIG extention pole, really heavy but walking around 10 kils in the local Philippine (Mindanao) area I record my daily 'adventures' using the pocket 2 would just make my (old) life so much easier, I'm 81 and active, enjoyed the video content and quality, look forward to more.

I really enjoyed this video. I am a ski instructor and I use the DJI Pocket 1 to video my students because it allows them to see how they are skiing and helps improve their skiing while on snow. I also use it to create training video for my ski school. The only things missing on my pocket 1 are zooming and a wireless microphone. It sure would be nice to win that pocket 2. Rev Kev.

Travelling with the family and vlogging it IS A MUST! I bought an akaso V50 but the quality sucks even at 4k plus especially under low light. With DJ osmo they designed it so that youll have a decent quality even at night. Memories worth capturing. Merry Christmas!

I have a second KZbin channel where I often ride a recumbent trike in the videos. The Pocket would be an ideal camera to film myself in those situations. Does the Do It All feature include wifi to the phone?

I ride with the original pocket a lot and one thing you should do if you get one is getting some sort of holder for the camera when you are not using it...like a pencil holder like thing on the bar. That way you can toss it in the cup because riding and trying to put it in its case is a real pain. I don't like stopping to do that.

DJI rocks and I was thinking about this with the one. I am liking the 2 a lot. My grandson loves to use my camera but it is a bit too heavy for him. With this we can take pics and videos of each other and get some great selfies and videos of each other also. He's almost 4 and I think the size is perfect to include both of us and others. Active tracking only works if the camera is right side up, it works upside down in standby but once you hit record the camera looses it and point either up or down. I have spoken to DJI regarding this as I want to use this camera on my Wiral Lite and at first DJI didn't understand why anyone would want to use the camera upside down. However they did get it and hopefully it will be in the next firmware update!

I use the DJI as a b roll camera. its a great alternative to carrying and setting up a big gymbal. I use it for social impact documentary making to catch the action. The new combo kit audio should make things even easier as a solo run and gun filmmaker. I've only just opened the box but the side on off button is already proving problematic. Also Im wondering about using the ND filters on the wide angle accessory. The ND filters are vital for shooting in Australia as the light is incredibly harsh, especially in summer. But overall I love the pocket osmo.

I had the pocket 1. The thing i really hated about it was the bad autofocus. Even after all the updates i still had focus issues when turning the camera. It was so unrealiable. I hope that these issues are fixt with the pocket 2. If so i will definitely buy it.

What I am missing from the pocket and pocket 2 is a "GoPro" like gyro data to give you the option to stabilize the video even more in post production with some type of software that only does stabilization of the raw video from the camera. Even though the video straight out of camera is great. Also that "do-it-all" device should be built into the unit even if the entire pocket 2 became a bit longer compared to the original. That could leave room for a larger battery and perhaps make it possible to integrate some other features into the device. That said great review and I will still be getting this device soon, I wanted the original pocket but it had to many flaws. This updates version is good enough :)

the only problem i found with my pocket 1 was when it got too hot after a while over use the glue under the rubber cover on the front would melt exposing the controles and it wouldnt work when the tiny aluminium discs would fall out,and i expect the pocket 2 will be no different but i will still purchase this camera even just for the zoom.

Great video review. I just picked one up today and am very happy with it so far. Quick question, what cell phone holder are you using with the Pocket 2 at the 5:50 mark? It looks perfect for using it when connecting it with the DJI USB adapter. I found that it is a bit cumbersome and can easily disconnect if you don't hold the phone and Pocket 2 perfectly. Reason I ask is because I own the Osmo Pocket (One) and yes vlogging with the close up isn't great but at least I can apply the ND filter so on sunny days my face won't be blown out. Super thank you. Good information. I'm just learning to use mine (birthday present from my wife) to complement my little Sony Handycam which as a x32 zoom (and feels like 'proper' camera). I'll be hopefully doing my Scottish hill climb vlogging with it as well as family stuff. I tried it out for a few minutes today and was pretty impressed: nothing fancy, just switch on and videod the wee one and family at a picnic on the grass. But basically that's all I have tried. I need to see your other video to find out about sound. That's one of my bugbears since my Sony only has the camera mic and no way to attach an external. Wind noise is awful. Where does the DJI extra mic get its power if it's transmitting from my collar to the camera? Simple things I just don't know!

I'm planning on using a Pocket2 to capture stock footage while I'm out hiking and travelling, for those times on the trail when there isn't time to set the pack down to get the Komodo + tripod and lenses out. And hoping that the stills quality is high enough for prints, so I can get more photos as well for the same reason.

I like your detail description of usage of the Version 2.. I ask, is it possible to..shoot video one clip, continuous? "rec-pause-rec-pause-rec-pause" eg..selfie, "scenery, interview rear face, interview front face, scenery 1, scenery 2".. thus in-pocket-cut-edit, continuous..not to edit-join scenes in computer.. ..currently I am able to record this way within-in my mobile.

I am returning to India to pick up on a photo-video doc I began there after a Summer, (not the genius on), Fulbright in 1991. Can actually reconnect with several different artists and communities, the Warli people outside of Mumbai. Focus on the variety of the forms of the expressive arts that reflect the various cultures within India. I was preparing to go with the DJI Osmo 3, using an iPhone 8 Plus for video and recording sound with a great shotgun mic + tascam field recorder. Quality of audio is very ime watching your video.Then while learning about the Osmo 4/magnetic, etc. I also looked at the Pocket 2 which I knew nothing about before watching your video. I'm really curious because a second camera now and then would be great and it would be fairly easy to enlist help and the Pocket 2 can just be set to track. I need to understand more- Like where are all these video and audio files being stored? What format, etc. So I guess I'm branching out- Thanks for your work. Suggestion: Slow down the pace of the presentation so you can slow down the delivery rate so that people just getting acquainted can get up to speed. Since DJI makes all these tools, I think a comparison of video/audio quality between similar products would be great. Different tool for different projects. I would use the DJI Pocket 2 not only for personal use but also tor work. I do site inspections of wrecked vehicles and need to get photos of unusual places. I prefer not to use flash as it creates shadows. I also need to see what I am photographing without having my eye at the camera. The DJI Pocket 2 Creator should make my tasks easier and give better results than the other cameras I have used.

love my pocket 2 even though I had a usb-c adapter connection problem just some 10 days into experiencing it for the first time and had to send it back to DJI.
