I have also been careful taking it in and out, I will have to try your suggestion to lever it out from the bottom end. I have a two year care refresh so that is some peace of mind. I think you are correct there is a small percentage that are just manufacturing defects and it may have nothing to do with the case at all.

@@thebetterbuy I have also been using those Ulanzi quick release mounts and they are awesome! They actually make a much more stable stand to leave the Pocket 3 upright.

Just got mine and that is exactly how I have been taking it out and putting it in. I did not get the refresh for my P2 and was afraid to use it. Did not make that mistake this time. Bought the 2 year refresh for the P3 and plan to use it a lot more than I did the P2.

My P3 case felt really tight when I first got it and was really worried about it hearing about other peoples screen issues. Someone else recommended just stretching the case open even more so it slides even easier in/out but doesnt fall off when protecting it. That seems to do the trick for me and there's zero struggle sliding in and out no matter which orientation I put it in.

i would honestly just scotch tape the screen in place on both sides and use the buttons to operate the camera. buttons may wear out too, but perhaps not if you use a light touch. i think there's a menu option to continue recording landscape footage while the screen stays in a portrait orientation. also some cover over the usb port to nip corrosion from water vapour in the bud

i don't blame you to be honest@@thebetterbuy it's a weird suggestion. i'm serious. i think the rotating screen was an idiotic idea from dji but i think i've commented about this already on your channel (gimbaled camera's orientation is divorced from the orientation of it's body/screen so having a screen mechanism is silly and redundant, just hold the body sideways, and the gimbal mechanism should accomodate that)
