It’s a nice controller but living in a hot weather very sunny state I added the RC Pro. the screen so so bright. However it seems abandoned

Just a bit of information in regards to certain USB microphones. Certain ones like the DJI mic record backup audio to the microphone itself. And when you plug them into a computer, they show up as a flash drive allowing you to pull the backup audio files to the computer. This is why when you plug the DJI mic into the RC2 controller you get that message. Because a flash drive of sorts is being presented to the controller and it doesn't know what to do with it. And like you said, the message can be safely ignored. Good information Nobbygreen!! Thanks for the good information!!

Thanks. Yes they do record a back up but it’s not the transmitter that is being plugged in. You would think it would recognise it being a DJI product. However it works flawlessly. 👍

I need as much help as I can get with the RC2. Lol. There’s so many options on that thing I don’t think I’ll ever figure it out totally. The only time I’ll probably use the screen saver mode thing is when I try to hit return to home button and accidentally hit the power button. Oh, that’s bound to happen. Haha. I do love this controller and now that they fixed the sd card issue, I can’t think of anything they can do to make it better. I’m sure they will though. Lol. Awesome video, Nobby!!!

Let’s say i have 2 “rc2” controllers. And I launch from home to a near by park, and my wife has the other “rc2”. Can she take over the flight for better precision while I stay at home?? And disconnect pilot controls? Would be a cool feature for these budget drones with compatible remotes like the “RC2” mini4pro / air3 compatibility. I’m geeking out because in one the more advanced DJI drones are remote swapped from separate locations.

Thanks Nobby. Always clear and informative. Another tip you may or may not have come across is that you can pair AirPods (or in my case hearing aids) with the Bluetooth function. This gives you all the audio commands direct to your ears. Very useful in noisy or wind environments. You can also listen back to screen recordings if you have had a mic plugged in, and any of the tutorials on the rc2. The sound is also better than listening directly from the rc2’s built in speaker. Keep up the good work!

Its used in conjunction for quick transfer. You can also pair up Headsets, but only some will work.

Sounds a bit weird. If you put the card into a reader it should transfer. You could try using the quick transfer with the app. 👍

Informative video. Likely this has been told before but: do Mini 3 batteries, standard or plus, fit in the Mini 4? Buying a mini kit of an RC2 and a Mini 4 pro could be thinkable.

Thanks for this quick tips Video. I like to fly with hotspot on my phone, so I can get the drone back to the contrôler instead of a home point when I’m moving some distance like on my boat. The contrôler doesn’t seem to have GPS built in and gets its location from the phone It seems. Cheers 🥂

Unfortunately you can’t do that with the RC2 controller. You will have to manually update the home point as you move 👍

Are you saying that, when you do this, the Home Point is updating continually while you're moving?

@@peterevans2278 it will update to either a position on the map or the controller location which you can chose. But only once. You would then have to update it if you move again. Hope this makes sense. There is a video on my channel explaining it if you’re not sure. 👍

Greetings. I got the latest Rc2 firmware 02.02.0000. Dji support told me that screen recording will not record directly into the sd. All recording is automatically stored into internal memory and must be transferred to sd. Please kindly check. Thanks

No. You can select either sd or internal storage. Once you move it over it will record all screen recordings to the sd card in the movies folder. Go to profile settings storage 👍

Hello Nobby, it's Alan I contacted you just before Christmas. I still have no sound on my dji controller. All it does is start up tone. No HOMEPOINT UPDATED,. Or beeps when you get to close to things. I wondered if you have heard of this before? I don't really want to do a factory reset cos I don't know what I may lose? I'm not much of a tec head. Have you updated the latest firmware? 1.12.8 That could fix it for you. If it doesn’t looks like you should contact DJI and get them to look at it under warranty 👍

Sounds like your update didn’t fully update. Use the DJI assistant 2 with the pc and reflash the firmware 👍 there’s no secret way to reset the controller unless you can get to the Home Screen then into settings

I wanna buy one of those dji mini 4 pro. But where I will mostly use it there is no wifi or any phone calls can be made. Basically there is no phone services. My question is ... can you fly it without internet?

Yes indeed you can. However you would need internet to set it up and sign in to your DJI account. If you fly in areas with no cell access then you couldn’t use the maps unless you again download the offline maps via the internet. Once downloaded you can access the map for where you want to fly.
