We unbox and conduct a quick first review of the new DJI Ronin 4D cinema camera. DJI are really trying to push the envelope on professional cameras by giving us a built-in 4-axis gimbal. We head down to a local brewery to capture some initial test shots using the 35mm DJI lens and put the new built-in gimbal to the test. I cannot remember the last time I had this much fun using a professional cinema camera and cannot wait to dedicate a full shoot to it and see its true capability!

iPhone 13 is still prime, better than any camera I'd say. Don't "JUST" look at the video quality and stabilization, if that's the case than there are cameras billion times better than DJI Ronin 4D. Look at the mobility too. You certainly cannot fit the Ronin 4D in your pockets but you can fit an iPhone 13 that gives you great footage, almost identical to what a cinema camera can do.

I love the fact Peter makes a blooper like the lens sticker and leaves it in for us all to laugh at, it' makes making mistakes less blameful and upsetting when you realize that someone of Peter's calibre does it occasionally too and it takes the stress away

The absolute reason why this product is important is the innovation behind this. It's something new. Might not be a tool that I (or many others) would ever buy, but it is different. It's not just a new camera with more frames per second, it is something completely different. Considering gimbals, this might be what mirrorless cameras did to DSLR's.Maybe this new tech will make gimbals redundant and it will all be these gimbal cinema cameras instead. Personally, I'm not too hyped for the product itself, but I am extremely hyped about the innovation. Innovation is gooood

Seems like a perfectly logical way forward for most of B-cams at least. I’m using my bmpcc 6kpro as a b-cam mostly with gimbal (with exception to talking head interviews). So well done DJI, keep on conquering the world!

Beautiful all-in-one system. After reading up on the specs, the only things which it compromises is lens versatility and RAW video file range. Other than those, it's practically a camera production unit with a single operator. Thumbs up! 👍

It was more in comparison to getting a similar setup together for something like a Canon C200, which is only 4k and has nothing like this in terms of stabilization, so you'd have to get a gimbal separately. I'd like to see more camera tests against something like the RED which is far more expensive to kit out in a similar fasion.
