The DJI Ronin SC settings for smooth footage when walking running and any other ways you might want to use it. I walk through the app and talk you through every setting how to use them change them and set them up so the Ronin SC is exactly the way you want it for you! These settings will get you moving toward the smoothest most cinematic footage you can get using your Ronin SC and a mirrorless camera like the Sony A6400 or A7iii. These are the best settings for me yours might be different but if you start here you can always change the settings to better suit your needs down the road!

Whenever I look for SC tutorials, everything I get is f…ing balancing tutorials. I don’t care about balancing, because I already figured it. I want to know how to set it up in a mode that is similar to what IBIS would do, but the sudden jumps the some IBIS cameras do (example Fuji) when you start moving with IBIS on. Yes airplane mode on for sure. Download the ronin app from DJI and you should be good to go!

I love how you casually talk to the camera. I'm still struggling with that aspect because I got used to using teleprompter. beginner here with ronin sc. i set mine to M1: Pan and Tilt Follow, M2: Sports (POV), and M2: Flashlight. This way, I won't get confused whenever I need to switch between the 3 modes.

yes that is the small rig shoe mover plate and it works fantastically well. You can still open all the covers etc without any issue. Cheers!

Interesting it probably has something to do with the USB settings in the camera, you also might want to check on DJI's site for any specifics for setting up the Canon m50 for use with the Ronin SC

So I came here out of curiosity, because my gimbal has a wicked jitter to it and I figured maybe I just need to try other settings. Your gimbal does the exact same thing and I'm stunned that no one commented on this. Its visible in both the clip at 1:23 as well as 3:45. Watch the road/mountain side--its jittery as hell. Not what a gimbal is supposed to produce.

Thank you very much for this video. I have just bought the SC and was hoping to find an explanation for the best settings. Perfect! Now I have to wait a bit before using it as I have just had shoulder surgery (ouch!). Balancing was a bit of a trial as I am using the Canon EOSR with a 50 mm EF L lens from my 5D. Almost impossible to add the phone mounting on top for active track! The Ronin S would have been ideal for this Set up but as I am not Wonder Woman the SC arrived timely!.
