Just now got a ronin sc and even though the balancing was a pain it's an awesome piece of equipment for a vlogger and streamer like myself that's just starting out. I genuinely love it! Im using mine with a Canon M50 mk2 and a set of Comica boomX d2 mics . I have no clearance issues as the camera is very compact and the mic unit is tiny. So rather than stick the mic receiver on the cold shoe on the camera. I've suck it to the side of the camera near the mic jack input with sticky backed velcro. So I can still use my cameras cold shoe with my phone for active tracking. Like you I've had to be a little inventive but it works great for what i need.

Your set-up is exactly the same as mine, a7Riii + 16-35GM and you answered my concern regarding the weight/payload capacity. I hate traveling with the Ronin-S, was going to get the Weebill Lab. Now wit the new release Ronin SC is tempting, but again it doesn't seem to handle the a7riii + 16-35GM combo well. So difficult!!!

I have an eos r with 24-105 f4. I've just ordered my ronin sc. I'm not going to use flashlight mode so it doesn't bother me. The sc is lighter and more portable so it wins the choice for me. Dji say you can add counterbalance to camera if you want to use it without restriction.

@@imranq4523 All the videos I've watched on youtube shows that the EFV will hit the motor when you try to roll the camera all the way back, kind of disappointing. But for traveling, I do rather use SC over the Ronin-S

@@jintherapist9837 true I've seen all of those videos. Dji website says you need to add a counterweight. If you added extra weight to the rear of the camera it would need to sit further forward and not hit the eye piece? Or I guess use a lighter lens so the body sits further forward.

Well, you can be sure this gimbal will be a great success . . . I purchased a Weebill Lab gimbal three days before this was announced :( I'm looking forward to seeing head to head comparisons between the two gimbals on KZbin, to see how much I regret my purchase LOL.

He was purposely "rocking" it vigorously to push its limits. Normally you would try hard: running smoothly, slow your breathing etc... In other words, the operator wasn't playing his part in helping the stabilization

Wow that gyroscope control really gives the camera and the gimbal some character now, it's look so cute because it has minimal lag and movement looks natural. Shit, I'm gonna film with my head now, lol.

What do you mean by it can do timelapses and motion lapses?? Does it has a feature that your camera will create a movie for you???? The A6400 for example has a timelpase feature but you have to create the movie yourself! Could you explain ? You never answer to messages but I guess I’ll try asking here

I don't have the 16-35F2.8-but I do have the old 16-35F4- which is not listed on the Ronin list (?) a few primes and the FE24-105F4.The latest is my most frequently used- I'm wandering is you could test this lens ( if you have it) it has the same weight- andbit smaller in diameter-but a bit longer on the extended side (without the hood extends to 155mm vs 163mm for the 24/35/F2.8GM with the hood on) ? It looks a good gimbal for travel, the S is just too heavy for me.

I use the Ronin-S for quite a while now. From time to time it was too big, bulky and heavy. That's why I added the Weebill Lab whcih is pretty awesome and small. So basically: DJI was a bit too late for me ;)
