⭐️ Best price for the DJI Ronin SC: geni.us/rIHo (affiliate)
Is the DJI Ronin SC the best small gimbal on the market? I’ve used this 3 axis gimbal from DJI for over a month with cameras from Sony, Canon and Fuji and I’ll walk you through a review and show you some sample footage.
Can this smaller gimbal hold up to the performance we saw from the DJI Ronin S?
Want to know more? You’ll need to watch the video!

⭐️ Best price for the DJI Ronin SC: geni.us/rIHo (affiliate) What's up everyone?! I hope this review of the DJI Ronin SC was helpful. Did you like it? I had pretty high hopes for this gimbal but because of the lower price I wasn’t sure it would deliver. I have to say that I was super impressed by it. I probably still got slightly better footage from the Ronin S, especially with heaver cameras. But with smaller ones, the Ronin SC did great! Was there too much detail? Not enough? What did you like, and also, what did you not like? What would you like to see more of? Would love to know what you think, good or bad. I am grateful in advance 🙏

I watched your video on the Sony a6100 - a6400 - a6600 comparison and that really really helped me to decide which camera I wanted to purchase. I was originally going with the a6100, but I landed right in the middle with the a6400 after your review. I purchased the Sony a6400 and the Ronin SC combo kit from B&H ( through your affiliate links) to show my appreciation for your hard work. Your videos were extremely thorough and well thought out. It would definitely work. But you will need a cage (or to use the riser) so that the lens doesn't hit the quick release plate. This would also work: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6PYmIt6nJibpK8

You’re one of the few channels that’s talked about the SL2 eos 200D and gets how awesome of a camera it truly is. I would really appreciate if you did a SL2 gimbal video, because apparently it won’t work with any gimbal? The ronin SC has been updated to work with the SL3 but not the 200d. I’m trying to get into video work and I refuse to upgrade until I’m making regular money and can deduct it from my taxes.

The Sony A600 with the 135mm lens I discovered your channel because I am upgrading from a cannon 700d. The Sony A6400 just seems a stunning camera for the money and I am pushing my budget but I feel it will be competitive for a few years. P.S does the A64oo have a Bulb function as I do a lot of long exposure. The videos you make get to the point and I enjoy your user experience

Thanks Ben. It's if you really want precise control over manual focus. I have many gimbals and I never use it. The only time we end up using it is if there are 2 people, one managing the gimbal and another person who only does focus - at which point, we have to use a wireless system. Hope that helps.

Thanks Ruben! Locking each axis makes balancing so easy. I have balanced so many, but still, it's WAY easier to do it this way. I didn't think the cable would be a big deal, but it's really nice to have that control without pressing on the camera. It's also not a deal breaker for me.

Hey man, love your videos. Your the reason I got my canon sl2 for vlogging. And reason I use the Cine style color profile. Do you think this gimbal would work with the sigma 18-35 1.8? I know that’s a huge lens so I doubt it will but I’m curious if you happen to have that lens and could try it. That’s the only wide angle lens I can find for the sl2 that has an aperture lower than f2.0. And it doesn’t have stabilization so I was wondering if it would work with this gimbal so I could still use it for things like hand held vlogging and b roll. Thanks! Keep the videos coming!

Hmm, very interesting product. DJI is on a tear. They have been impressing me with their products. This is not the cheapest Gimbal and I don't have a problem with that. My Sony a7ii may be on one of these for the field. I am curious how it will do with a battery grip. That increase the payload a bit. I may have to use it without the battery grip. As you know the a7ii loves batteries like a just turn 21 year old and his/her first beer or drink. No one have just one. No drinking and driving please. Your reviews are excellent. Your flow and your candor and friendliness keeps me coming back. You don't let your personality get in the way of helping us. Some people do this with the disguise they are doing it for us, but really they love the camera and lights and action about themselves. I am using you, and Mustie1 and Gordon Laing as great examples. You are all so friendly and easy to listen too. I have always an easy and good time listening and watching what you are sharing. Your voice control is great too. You don't bore me like some videos that put me to sleep. Yes true story, some voices knock me out. Please keep doing what you are doing, and don't change a thing. You are great!

Glad it was helpful Jack. The 80D is so heavy, that it should be able to offset the 18-135mm (assuming this is the lens you were talking about)

Great video and plenty of useful info here! I shoot with a Sonya6400 with a Sigma30mm and 56mm and Sony 10-18mm for real estate. Did you have any problems with any of these setups by any chance? Before I hit the purchase button :) Because it does loook so tempting this gimbal, especially after watching your video! Great stuff!! 🙌 Thanks

Hey Sagi, another superb video describing the DJI Ronin SC. Looks a fantastic piece of kit and i think the natural gimbal to pair with a Canon M50. Do you agree or is there a better one at a reasonable price point? Kind regards. Ray and Sue's Travel Channel

Thank you Ray & Sue - appreciate it. I am going to test another smaller gimbal with that setup very soon. If it works, it will be even more portable that this setup. It would not work with the a7iii, but with the M50 it's possible. I will let you know ASAP!

Trying to balance Canon EOS-RP with Sigma 24mm F/1.4 with the RF/EF adapter. It is front heavy. I wish DJI comes up with some counter balance. I like this gimbal but it is difficult to balance heavy lenses with light mirrorless.
@TechGearTalk

Those adapters are killers by moving all that weight forward while being light themselves. I had the same issue with the mc-11 and sigma 18-35

I've recently did a 10-day-travel work with my A7S2 + Sony FE 24-240mm and the Ronin S. I didn't use this setup more simply because I couldn't handle the weight all day long basically, so when I came back I immediately wanted a lighter gimbal, so the Ronin SC came to mind. Would it fit my current camera + lens setup or I would have to buy a smaller/lighter lens?

@@TechGearTalk Thanks for your fast reply. Good to hear! I read that the connection between the gimbal and camera as well as controlling the recording could be troublesome, though I'm not sure if that is actually an issue. Did you have similar experiences or did you have no issues with this?
@TechGearTalk

It's pretty rare that I connect the camera to the gimbal. It's simple enough to start/stop recording from the camera. And I very rarely have to make other changes (since I use a variable ND filter). For me, it's so much faster to make adjustments on the camera. It's just my perspective.
