Good review. I have just received my Ronin SC and am disappointed that it is missing two killer features that the Weebill Lab has: 1. In Pan Follow mode, you can hold down the trigger and change the tilt angle really smoothly on the Weebill. But you have to use the joystick on the Ronin which is harder to do smoothly 2. On the Weebill, I can use the rotary wheel to change ISO or Aperture which is great when moving from light to dark, or vice versa. There is no similar option on the Ronin SC.

Weebill Lab sells below $250 second hand on ebay. I prefer that handle on top of the weebill lab setup. But I am just not sure it balances with my Panasonic G9 with 12-60mm Leican and with the Sennheiser MKE440 shotgun microphone on top so I am unsure of getting one. I agree with your sentiment about the modes, to a degree. It's 100% accurate, you typically choose the mode you like and just go... -but when I see these abilities like motion tracking the gimbal with your phone, or Force mode (can they be used at the same time?), it makes me want to attempt some super complicated shot using everything together and someone on focus and someone on zoom just because you can.
@connormccaskill5 жыл бұрын
You can’t do both force mode and tracking... but absolutely you can get creative with these features for sure! I just think for 99% of the time, I just turn it on and go

"Cheap Android product"? Galaxy phones started the glass pebble movement that Apple copied 😛
@mihnealazar70395 жыл бұрын
1. He didn’t refer to the Samsung Galaxys or Huawei or something. He said “a cheap android product” 2. Apple had the aluminium unibody years before Samsung moved to glass backs, and Samsung only had plastic backs before. 3. Actually it looks like a lot of people forgot, but the first “glass sandwich” phone was the iPhone 4 in 2010.
@jlee93605 жыл бұрын
@@mihnealazar7039 Living is the past isn't good. Everyone phone out now has equal or better build quality than the iphones. Fact is apple has been reaching for more and more profits which in the end hurts the consumers. They already make the largest margins on their smartphones over any other company but each year they try to make up for their decrease in sales by charging more for the phone thus increasing their margins. Apple used to be #1 but sadly now they are #4 doesn't bode well for apple consumers as they will get less and less for their money this includes functionality and build quality. After the iphone 5 the build quality of their phones have steadily decreased and probably will continue to do so. Saying Apple has the best build quality is living in the past the statement no longer holds true today. Saying they have better design aesthetics is something that can be said but is highly debatable as the samsung phones have really taken the top spot in that aspect with their gorgeous phones. really whats left is to say that the OS is easy to use for older folks who aren't so tech savvy, but this is definitely a good market to have.
@mihnealazar70395 жыл бұрын
Jung Lee I still find the iPhone XS to have one of the best builds. It has stainless steal and pretty durable glass. I don’t see that on Android phones. I actually dropped my glass back iPhone on an old, very hard iron radiator and it just got a bit scuffed. I’m pretty sure that if I had the S10 the curve would’ve cracked.
@jlee93605 жыл бұрын
@@mihnealazar7039 Glad you like the iPhone XS but your opinion isn't necessarily truth. If you say build quality is based on if your phone breaks from a drop or not then the old Nokia phones have the best "build quality". As displays get larger and larger they will be more prone to breaking and from personal experience and what many others will say usually how far you drop your phone from but how your phone lands. obviously if you drop it from a building it will break but for the most part drops are from 4ft or less. If it lands flat from that distance on a flat surface it most likely doesn't break however if it lands flat on a rock good luck. Lets just say that the best build quality is a combination of design aesthetic and durability not just drop test but wear and tear. (bending, water, scratching, etc..)
