I been using my RS3 Pro for about 3 months now. I love it. It's the first professional gimbal that I have owned and I still don't know all the things it can do. Raven Eye with the iPhone 12 Max has been ok sort of. I hope to get the DJI Transmission and Lidar soon.

Literally got my RSC2 last week, may have to send it back now! Also - does anyone know why my footage is a bit jittery when I walk with the RSC2? A7Riii + sigma 28-70, fully balanced - not sure if the product is faulty or if it’s a mistake I’m making.

yes because your gimbal has no Z axis compensation. You learn to walk to compensate for it and also make sure that the IBIS/in lens stab in your camera is off you don't want 2 stabilization systems fighting each other

@@silbay you are correct with the walking but I’ve used gimbals in the past and never had this same issue - i discovered it only happens with my Signa zoom lens- my Sony 85mm f1.8 performs perfectly smooth. And good point about IBIS - I think I still have it turned on

Really don’t see the need for this gimbal. I also noticed that a lot of the features you mentioned have already existed on the RS2. The handle that comes with it, the trigger button to lock the position of the camera, the small screen on the back, the battery handle, the focus motor, etc. all exist in the RS2 already. I really don‘t know why they released this gimbal since it almost seems like an exact copy of the previous model. The external monitor with transmission system seems like a neat thing to have but you have to buy it separately and it cost a whooping 2k.

The next new feature by DJI will be the gimbal auto balancing the camera, by calculating the weight of the body, lens, mic etc. that is loaded onto the gimbal. The software will automatically calculate how much the pitch, yaw and tilt axis need to be adjusted and it will be done automatically. Perfect feature for lazy noobs who prefer convenience and quick work over hard work, knowledge and expertise!

Hi Matti, Thanks a lot for this informative video -- I really liked the closeup shots of the gimbal so I could see the build quality. At this point, I am not sure whether it is best to keep my Zhiyun Crane 2 for the next few years or upgrade to the RS3 Pro. I have had the Zhiyun Crane 2 since 2018 and have been using it to make walking videos -- feel free to check them out on my channel. It is calibrated nicely to compensate for sudden turn movements (good amount of deadband). Though the micro jitters and z axis bounce movement can bother me sometimes -- especially on intense hikes. I am wondering in your opinion whether it is worth it to upgrade from the Zhiyun Crane 2 to the DJI RS3 Pro?
