Camera operator vs. gimbal… It's like saying the scalpel did a great job instead of the surgeon's steady hands. That's the big misconception with this tech! If I’m using a gimbal, it’s for my camera, not my phone. The iPhone is for when I’m on vacation, trying to blend in and not look like an obvious tourist, or when "less is more" vibes are needed. Great comparison! Thanks! I was eyeing this gimbal, but everything clicked when I saw how close and stable the footage is. Time to channel our inner Brandon Lee and step up our game.

120 fps is great at any resolution that your system and equipment can easily handle. If it can't handle it you'll know and so will your viewers. Frame delay and latency (they're not the same thing), will show stuttering in the frame, even if it's micro-stutters. Some people can't see those but for those of us that have been gamers for a long time, we notice them right away, even if it's not a game and it's cringe-worthy when it happens. 120 fps is great for live action video but not really good for cinematics, a lower and smoother frame rate is better for that; smoothing out the peaks and valleys in the frame rate and interframe delay so there's less of a 1% variance on both attributes.

I can promise you, everyone is not buy this camera for $6,000. There is a very small circle of people buying this camera. Lecia has very beautiful lenses and camera science. The cameras are also extremely well designed and are work of arts. But there are countless cameras that are works for art and have amazing color science.

As for the colors in the clip, the guy with the cap has a red face as if he drank 50 liters of wine. I don't understand what the best canon colors are you talking about. Canon has never excelled. Back in the days of DSLRs the best DSLR was the Nikon D850, Canon never came close to its performance.

Listen. Sony a7R V is much better than Canon R 5. It is better on ISO, better on colors, better on sharpness, etc. The Canon R 5 produces slightly overexposed images compared to the Sony at the same settings. I don't know what Canon will release in the future, but Sony is currently better, I'm not talking about autofocus. Lenses from Canon are more expensive starting from 300 to 500 euros compared to their equivalent from Sony and three times cheaper than a third party. Canon has few and very expensive lenses, I don't know how much it's worth to buy Canon.

"If you find the display size insufficient, just connect it to a larger monitor." 😆 The video author apparently lives in a world where every hotel, library, café, park, and other places have a calibrated monitor next to every power outlet, allowing for proper photo and video editing. You don't need this expensive laptop just for typing. 😁 So, dear boys and girls, in reality, you'll face the situation where your friend with the 16" laptop, when you reach the hotel or café in 15 minutes and sit at a table, will be laughing at you because you'll be staring at a 14" screen for the next few hours while he enjoys the 16". These laptops are not chosen based on weight, no matter how strange that might sound.

Most of the video is a waste of time, this should fix this! ;) Edit > Preferences > Color > (turn on) Display Color Management. When your ready to export check 7:52 Tip: Turning on Display Color Management will slightly mess up any color grading you have already done. Usually it only messes up saturation and exposure. For those who would like to see all steps check 7:17

FCPX is the best by far. I started with Avid Media Composer, then Premiere Pro, then FCPX because of it's easy transition (other than the library event concept rather than bins and folders which I loved) but the cost is so reasonable that I can use external drives with libraries on them that make for GREAT. I also like that I can use the copy feature and all my video/images/graphics, etc. are in one small 4 dot folder that I can actually open up and look around at and easily relink anything missing. Lastly, if FCPX does crash, only a couple times in like 7 years, when I restart it, even my last action was completed. I NEVER HAD THAT IN Pr or Avid MC . . PERIOD.
