I tried following this, but the app says turn off airvraft before calibration. Then it asks me to move both sticks to the top, then top right corner. It always times out. I'm running latest updated version of DJI Go 4 app for my MP. Looks like no solution yet. My right stick is showing 2 for the top center when untouched. Hmm, much frustration later... it finally completed before timing out. Weird!

It doesn't let you finish the wheel calibration just like on this video. I keep getting wheel error randomly on a new mavic. I would not consider it a new mavic if I sent it in and had it worked on.

Ok i figured it out the wheel has to be the the centre when you calibrate it i.e. get a feel for when it feels like it is 50 50 each way then let it time out and restart the calibration and boom it lets you get both sides of the wheel

Hi there, please try to restart the drone and DJI GO 4 app, try to remove the SD card and plug in again, reset the camera settings or try another mobile device. Please try to switch the mode on the DJI GO 4 app and see if the switching is working normally Besides, you may try to refresh the latest firmware via DJI Assistant 2 for the drone. Please let us know if the issue persists, a video of this case will be appreciated. Thank you.

Just to verify, did you download the latest DJI Assistant 2 from the Mavic Pro page? If yes, you may change the internet or another PC to verify. As for the video switching issue, you may also change to another recommended mobile device to check. If the issue persists, you may start a case and send it in for diagnosis: www.dji.com/support

I have an android and have tried several times to get the controller to work right as mentioned in so many comments, it totally sucks. I don't get the start message it goes right to center the sticks and follow the dots, only the right one seems to want to move then times out before the left side ever moves. My controller also flashes system warning check app so I was hoping to have this fix it....:(

Tried to calibrate several times, the blue circles not moving or moving very slowly. ALWAYS RAN OUT OF TIMES! Faulty RC or dodgy DJI DO 4 app? DJI keeps testing my patience since P3P, need to switch to a different brand. Any suggestions?

I had exactly the same problem and happened on two different phones (both Android). The problem seems to be the phone display isn't updating properly so I kept doing a similar motion to this video which seemed to get it moving and when it 'stuck', it would suddenly jump to the current position. It took me a couple of goes but it's got passed that step and the gimbal control step ok.

Absolutely frustrating! The calibration function is a dumb as it can be. I went through it a dozen times and the left stick will not complete the square. It keeps getting stuck in the bottom left corner. Geez!

I found that you can "push" the circle forward and return back as you need to . Also you don't have to do them simultaneously.

It work for me is the camera gimbal wheel on the left bottom not the joy stick on the second procedure , Also I'm very please that they answer the phone and help you step by step with the process +++++++++++++++

My left dial or left gimbal wheel is not responding and I keep getting "wheel error recenter wheel" error popping up on the rc screen with beeps. Seems like I have the same problem. Have you resolved it yet?

Tsogbayar Erdenekhuu I had to send mine back to DJI and they send me a new controller free but charge me for fixing the drone 138.00 , I know you can do one at the time when you follow up the blue line then move the gimbal left and right it works for a while but as soon I turn it off and on it was doing the same-thing ,good luck

Eddie Hicks try to do both at the same time and worse case move the sticks as fast as possible even if it doesn’t follow the circle tell it’s complete

My MAvic pro controller drain the battery for itself, I charged 100% and after 30 min it shows 92% without using it at all, also after I use it it for example shows 45% and when I wanted to use it again it shows 55%. I Calibrated but nothing changed. What can I do?

make sure your phone is 100% otherwise the phone will take the power from the controller

I have the exact same problem on my new mavic. Haven't even tried flying the thing out of fear of crashing due to this issue. I know it's a toy but 1k toy shouldn't have issues right out of the box.

Confusing: The aircraft should be turned off during calibration, but in the tutorial it shows "Ready to go" while he is calibrating!! "Ready to go only" shows only when the drone is powered on and connected to the controller.

Your calibration app is very poorly made. I'm a UI designer and I had to look up this video to even vaguely understand what I needed to do. The app is flawed. Not to mention it's not doing what you show here - only one of the dots actually updates, and only sometimes. It's completely unpredictable, and every time I time out. Very frustrating, get your stuff sorted DJI, this does not give me confidence in your product at all.

I have to agree with you, Just spent 30 minutes trying to calibrate my Mavic Pro controller, the stick calibration is nowhere near as smooth as this video depicts. Movement of the blue circles was very inconsistent and unpredictable. The process is virtually impossible to do both sticks at the same time like the video portrays. Doing each stick individually is what eventually worked for me but you have to be quick because after about a minute or so the calibration app times out and you have to start over from scratch.

You can push the dot forward even passing it and return to fill in any blanks. Also you don't have to do them at the same time.

@@eyesky0934Hello, there. Sorry for your inconvenience. The permanent magnet of the motor on the arm has an influence on the compass when the motor on the arm is closed to the compass. Please do compass calibration when unfolding the arms.

This calibration feature is just PATHETIC. It simply does not work. The circles do not move and when they do, only ever so slightly, it times out. 10/10 would NOT recommend a DJI product to anyone.
