This was proper sick buddy! I’ve only ever flown in normal and sports mode, so have just started the virtual sim in manual. It’s well fun! My goggles keep freezing after 5 or so minutes also. What rates do you have, as your seems much smoother and floatier (and controlled) than mine. If you can tell me what rates etc I’ll give it a try as I’ve only ever had it set up as it comes. This was proper dope and deffo gave me more enthusiasm in keeping at it for a few weeks till I can finally give manual shout irl!

Thanks brother! Re: Goggles freezing. Mine seems to freeze every 20 minutes or so. I've also noticed that if I'm only playing Time Trials it almost never freezes. Sometimes I'll put in 15 minutes or so in TT and then switch to Free Fly and the goggles don't freeze for a long time. I have no idea why that is but it just works so you might give that a shot. Re: Rates. Mine are set super slow. Center Sensitivity = 100. Max Rate = 450. EXPO = 0.5. for all three axis. I tend to favor smoother more flowy flying, not the tourettes/ADHD-style of flipping/rolling every second so no need to run super fast rates. Give it a shot, as soon as I turned down my rates I got so much better at Virtual Flight. Use one of the Custom modes when changing your rates. Re: Manual. What's stopping you? I was flying manual by my 4th battery pack (after about 4 hours of simulation time in Liftoff/VF). I don't think you learn anything flying in Normal/Sport, IMO those are just wasted battery cycles (and you only get 100 per batt). Just go super high your first time, and remember you can always hit that brake button.

@@ScorpioVI Elo. Thanks for the response. I’ll deffo give these rates a try. & there’s a spot a few miles from my place that’s a massive open space of common land, no one for miles, so I’m planning on going there for my first few manual flights. Need to go first thing a.m when there’s no dog walkers etc out and about. The goggles freezing this is well annoying isn’t it. Your floaty, ‘hang time’ sort of movements looked much better and easier to control so can’t wait to give that a go.
