Alright, here is the update. I tried it in VR, and i never made it to the end. Maybe it was my lack of irl driving skills, maybe the car choice, or the lag on my Quest 3. I don't have a link cable, which most likely contributed to the lag, and I had my PC running on wireless WiFi. For the car choice, I used the piccolina corse, which handled really well, but the snap oversteer was incredibly annoying so it likely wasn't the best choice. As for the lack of irl driving skills, I can't drive yet. I also don't have the most realistic sim racing setup, I just have a g923 with the shifter and no handbrake. I will probably try again soon and i'll update everyone if I beat it.

Btw: The trick to avoid mis-shifting (at least with a regular 5 or 6 speed H pattern gearbox, not sure if the sim gear stick behaves identically, but it probably does); is to not try to grip the stick too hard and try to actively move it sideways when going for the center gears. To reach gear 1 and 2, cup the stick with your hand (or thumb if you're shifting with your left hand) on put gentle pressure towards that side by cupping the hand on the other side; to go to 3 and 4 don't restrain the gear stick in the sideways direction just push it forwards or backwards by cupping gently on top of the stick, and let the stick spring back to the middle position on it's own, to reach 5 and 6 push the stick gently to the right with your thumb (or cup it with your hand if you're shifting with your left hand). By letting the spring action center the stick you'll never accidentally overshoot the center position and skip gears.
