I learned to fly on a Gentle Lady around 1980, first model I ever built too, it is such a lovely plane. Mine was retired after 800 plus flights as the fuel from the cox .049 powerpod had seeped everywhere, if you get into trouble, just let go of the sticks and try again. Been flying ever since. We have been using multiple receivers bound to a single Transmitter on large RC planes for decades to reduce wire length. I use Jeti radios, I even have some models where you can turn the RX on and off from the TX, turn one model off and the next one on without putting down the TX, would be great for construction equipment.

Hopefully they will tell you to pull out the X-maxx, SMT10 and UDR and maybe a V3 Thrasher jet boat this summer, I think they would enjoy that.

I have seen people Y link brushless motor wires into 1 esc, Just has to be rated enough amps to power both motors. They run at the same speed. forward and reverse.
