Everett and I are back at it again, unboxing a new 1/5th scale RC truck that came onto the market Spring season of 2016. This truck is a mammoth beast, and it is difficult to give you full perspective .. but let me tell you, it looks MEAN! We have had a few 1/5th scale gas powered RC trucks, (and electric), and I must say this is 100% unique! That back solid axle and sway bar suspension setup is just too cool. The Shock hangers and overall appearance is quite aggressive. I look forward to learning more about this truck in the coming months! Now.. I have to decide what engine to put into it..

I'm running a Baja modified for racing (lowered, Hostile slicks, CF chassis parts, tuned pipe). I'm really planning on selling it when I'm done and this truck is on my radar for my next 1/5 scale. I'll probably buy it with no engine so I can pick what I want to go in it.

Looks like a badass truck dude. I've never owned a 1/5th ever lmfao. I want to get an Xmaxx from Traxxas but there's a better 8D version coming out in February of 2017. I just do not have money and like I said I'm still getting the hang of everything in the hobby even though I'd like to think I have lots of experience... Lol

Waow ! This truck is so massive, need one ASAP !!! So much upgrading possibilities, more than all other 5th scale RC. I've running Losi 5ive-T and HPI Baja 5T, both massively upgraded and Vekta make me feel exciting like never before !!! CAD software and 3D are ready to help me to prototype some crazy things. in just 5th scale i have 5 5ive-t's..1 mini copper converted to Electric.. 2 DBXL.. 1 MTXL.. 1 Rampage xB brushless.. 1 Rampage Mt.. 1 Rampage XR.. 1 exceed 5th rock crawler.. 1 FG Formula 1 converted to brushless.. 1 v-77 X5 performance race hydro boat water cooled 2 stroke.. 1 hpi baja .. i think thats all my 5th scales i have on order the new DBXL E .. and i will be ordering this Kraken 5 next week when i get paid i would have got this truck sooner but i just got my 5th xmaxx have 5 of them now also i have almost every other car in other scales have over a hundred surface units kind of like you guys this is the first time I've ever posted on a video i have seen ur vids sins like 08 i think keep up the good work one day ill make a vid with my 5th scales

that platform is screaming rock bouncer..bigger rock crawler type wheels full rock bouncer style rollcage kraken has the know how for that and to go fully the ducks nut big bore dry sump 4 stroke with a RB innovations supercharger and maybe a foreward,reverse trany. Do you know if people race these? How does the rear suspension work compared to a traditional RC rear from a 1/8 scale, the rear is attached with arm to the chassis?

My Brother and 2 friends have 1/5 scale cars and i have made lights on 3 of my Brothers 1/5 scale cars. I dont have space for gaseline cars som i have 1/10 cars in my apartment. Have 6 cars that working and like to get a vatera k5 and big rig Peterbilt truck one day. Thanks fore Great videos.

Awesome video of an amazing truck anything kraken is awesome hopefully they allow us to race the solid axle here in Australia 🇦🇺 should upset a few losi drivers n I think its durability will see it on the podium love the vekta 5 but it's $3000 plus here in Australia unfortunately

Wish I could afford to spend the money on a beast like that. But... Family first and I'd rather us all have one than just one beast like that. It will come eventually. You should stand it up on its rear bumper and stand next to it or put a yard stick beside it( or meter stick) so we can really see the size

I built a 1/5th scale wraith I tore down my spawn and doubled all the measurements I used the max stone 5 moa axles there cheap then extended them a 1.5" and upgraded to metal gears and modified a set of yeti xl axle shafts its still in the ruff stage and is still running the maxstone tires that are way to small but they kinda work I'm running a m2 dig ESC and 2 45t rock stars its a beast I've only run it a few times real short like so I'm sure there are still some bugs to work out and some more welding to be done and it needs a interior but first I want to run a few packs through it

Always wanted a 5th scale. I remember as a kid, going to the hobby store at the farmers market, and seeing a dune buggy with basically a weed wacker engine and small mower tires. I think that might have been home made, but it was awesome, and I wanted it so bad. The thought of not having to charge batteries was amazing as a kid haha.
