RC ADVENTURES - ALTERED BEAST 4X4 - Rebuild BV7 - FUNCTiONAL HOOD SCOOP & Flares

www.RCSparks.com - 1080p HD of COURSE! So as my project Evolves - it changes! I think that's the basis of building any Epic RC Build Project. Some folks can be more rigid, and love sticking to a plan.. but myself - I always tend to veer off when my creative side kicks in! HAH!
Well, last night my Brain clicked into the fact that I had a blower that could be completely functional.. all I would have to do is have the balls to cut the beautiful body & hood of my new Ford! Well, Throw it to the wind I say! Let's see what happens!
I am using a Tekin RX8 Gen 2 1/18th scale ESC to power my Dual Teak 35t Motors.

I think it would look cool if you had that RX8 just peaking out from the top and just putting the top piece of the blower on instead of both pieces. Loving the build so far!

You know what embrace modern tec dude ditch the scooo altogether raise the esc up high as poss and have a new breed of truck electric eco off roader. The RX8 looks boss as an engine in its own right man. Dont hide it show it with the wires on will look like something outta Star Wars or summink futuristic space age retro outlander truck well you get the picture! Lookin ace whichever way you go with it buddy!

hey medic .....love the build ...was going to throw out there ...if you get a parma hemi engine ...you can actually drill a hole out of the back of the bellhousing ...and hide your reciver in it and run your wires out the back ...good clean look and a scale motor ....love what you do and aways looking to see whats next ...congrats on being a dad man.

My personal opinion on the ESC position is that it should be sticking out like you had it before lowering the front end with only the top section of the hood scoop.

just done this today with my 22 2.0 race buggy because with the body there was no room for the fan and I decided I was running the fan at any cost and came up with pretty much the same idea!!!!! LOVE THIS HOBBY!!!!!! wish I could show off a picture of what I did... lol

To add some more realism to your truck, you could use some of that plastic automotive tubing and run it from the ESC to the air intake on the engine in the back. Its the plastic tubing you use to encase the wires and make the wires look neat. Awesome video so far I haven't finished it yet.

Why wouldn't forced air induction have worked with engine in the back? It works on monster trucks, yes they spin the scoop around but it still works. Awesome Idea Medic.

Use both the scope pieces, it gives it a more realistic look. If you change the esc height you could paint it chrome with spaztic chrome paint to match the scoop.

I absolutely love how this is going, keep it up. I really think when you have the time, to do a budget build for the followers, that don't have a lot of money. Have your subs set a price range and try not to go above it. Maybe you could come up with a fairly nice truck, to get more people into the hobby, that can't afford a $500 and up truck. Just and idea.
