2024 anyone ? Teenage years nearing decades away now. Moments that impacted our lives long ago played roles in shaping who we are. Seemed impossible to overcome at the time but now here we are looking back and noticing that it was just a hill to climb compared to where we are now. Peace to all you out that have been where I’ve been. We got each other.

@@biohead66 Shane is one of those guys in the genre that are actually very well practiced. He's usually incredibly consistent with his pitch and technique, even when going back and forth between screams and cleans. Does live stuff get edited? Absolutely. Can I say for sure that this isn't pitch corrected? Obviously not. There's no way to know for sure that it isn't. However, it would not surprise me at all to find out that this had no pitch correction on it. Like I said, this guy is really fucking good, and this could easily be a "raw" performance in that regard. Not at all implying you don't know this, but just a general comment for anyone reading who is curious - "Mixing" and "editing" are not really the same thing. Mixing is volume, EQ, compression, reverbs, delays, balance, etc... Almost nothing you listen to is really ever "raw" or it would likely all sound like shit when mixed together. Editing is more like pitch correction, timing correction, comping takes together, etc... They're things that actually alter the performance.
@biohead663 ай бұрын
@@TheSpartan_G I know... This is edited like they rerecorded it in the studio though. Notice the multiple angles and the inconsistencies and when the drums and guitars come out it's a full re-recording. Crowd vocals also don't match.

What a crazy thing life is. 2 Weeks ago my older brother visited me for the weekend and he played this song. The following days I asked him what song it was and I listened to it constantly after. Then one week ago...... my brother was found dead in his bed...... I didn't got the time to tell him that I found the song and what a awesome song it is. Now, the line "your face arrives again" gives me the shivers. All I see is his blue, but sleeping face as I hold his cold hands for a last goodby. But I still love it since it helps me remember our last time togheter. Thank you Silverstein ! Don't do drugs....

Such an amazing performance. Silverstein is not just my favorite band still after some time, they’re also my Emo legends (yours too, haha)! After decades of their career, they’ve managed and still are managing to put out such amazing albums & songs. You don’t have to love every album & song by them, but you have to admit that everything by them is so fucking amazing. You have to have some variety in albums & songs, otherwise it would be so boring listening to any band. I really hope that vast majority of Silverstein’s fans agree with me on 100%. If you don’t, I pity you. Silverstein is one of the few bands, if not the only band, which has stayed so fresh after all these decades. And in my personal opinion they have even managed to become better than before. Not every band has at least stayed the same. Some bands don’t even exist anymore and still haven’t come back yet. This is why Silverstein is still my favorite band after some time now. Can’t wait to hear more new songs & albums by them, to keep going to their concerts, to see them during VIP times, to buy new albums by them, etc.

The drugs begin to peak A smile of joy arrives in me But sedation changes to panic and nausea And breath starts to shorten And heartbeats pound softer You won't try to save me! You just want to hurt me and leave me desperate! You taught my heart, a sense I never knew I had. I can't forget, the times that I was Lost and depressed from the awful truth How do you do it? You're my heroine! You won't leave me alone! Chisel my heart out of stone, I give in every time. You taught my heart, a sense I never knew I had I can't forget, the times that I was Lost and depressed from the awful truth How do you do it? You're my heroine! I bet you laugh, at the thought of me thinking for myself (myself). I bet you believe, that I'm better off with you than someone else. Your face arrives again, all hope I had becomes surreal. But under your covers more torture than pleasure And just past your lips there's more anger than laughter Not now or forever will I ever change you I know that to go on, I'll break you, my habit! You taught my heart, a sense I never knew I had. I can't forget, the times that I was Lost and depressed from the awful truth How do you do it? You're my heroine! I will save myself!

@@alexanderdavid4732 dont know if you read this but let me tell ya there is a way out. Its hard and its painful and definitely not easy but dont give up on yourself. Usually its unresolved trauma/pain that lingers underneath and wounds that just wont heal that addictions can "Patch up" for a while but they never truly do. I speak from experience. Its a fight for sure and it changes you. Keep on fighting 🙏 its worth it! You got a purpose in your life even if you cant see it right now. Lookin back you will understand why things unraveled the way they did and will be amazed how far youve come 🤗 ofcourse they will always be temptations and stumbling blocks but not impossible to conquer.

This is by far one of the best songs out there. I could listen to it over & over again. Conveys such a strong message with beautiful emotion behind it.

2023 and still the most relatable song I've ever heard. You know you agree.

So I grew up listening to this song, smile in your sleep, and Your sword vs my dagger, I didn't fully dive into silverstein until quarantine and only today did I discover that they're from one of my favourite cities in Ontario. I think its cool that even all these years later I still find things that I connect with when I listen to this band!
