Hitting out in front can increase power and spin. Weight transfer and hip rotation bring the rear shoulder forward with the racket arm supinated. The transition from supination to pronation then delivers a very powerful impulse. Supination and pronation are explained more clearly in the updated version of this video: • Djokovic Topspin Backh...
Eliminating the wrist from a power generation role preserves racket face alignment through contact, and allows it to finesse for direction and control.
Ball contact needs to be well out in front of the body so the initial set-up position often needs to adjusted. Body tilt can increase reach and leverage.

I like his traditional old School closed stance .To many Teaching Pros Start kids learning open stance and they are already hitting late. This video could help so many to learn how to turn shoulder's and stand with the right shoulder towards the net for right handers and vice versa for lefties.

Also notice how his head and eyes track the ball until it hits the racquet and then stay focused on the strike point for a few 100 milliseconds *after* it's been hit (kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6HWZ2qjqdB7o5o). This ability to watch the ball into the racquet and head stability let him time the strike exquisitely. He is in no hurry to see where the ball is headed after it's been hit.

Great observation, "watch the contact and visualise the target" is a good mantra.. but why do we tend to lift our heads?.. good idea for a future video! Thanks for your comment!
