Nice to see you take a train to Prague! The city is absolutely beautiful and might go to the city this holiday, but I'm not sure I can go there, because I have other holiday plans. If not this holiday I'll definitely go there next holiday!

Thank you so much! This goggles loco is operated by AWT company, which is subsidiary of PKP Cargo. Btw. this cargo train runs along the main corridor, which we bypassed due to construction works.

hezké video, pro mě zajímavá sestava na soupravě Ostravanu (Jsem běžně zvyklí na Bmz), ale je pravda že v této hodině na Prahu necestuju :D Ten InterJet asi jen tak na tomto spoji nepojede když ted pendluje na obratu SuperCity za Pendolino (včera jsem jeden viděl s Banánem), takže snad někdy až toho Pindu opraví a na Cheb nebude nějaký chybět :D

Díky moc! On má každý pár Ostravanu úplně jiné řazení, dokonce Ampz začalo jezdit poměrně nedávno (dříve Aee140). InterJet asi opravdu jen tak nepojede, jednak stále nejsou zaškolené slovenské posádky, asi také ještě nemá schválení pro Slovensko a navíc díky výlukám nejspíš ani nestíhá přejít na další vlak. Původně se měl na Ostravan využít dlouhý prostoj soupravy kdy přijel do Prahy na R 603, pak měl točit EC141/140 a večer přejít na R 600.

It has to be said this specific train is only and Ex (express), not a proper EC, which explains the lack of dining car.

Yes, of course, this train doesn't meet EC standards, not only because of the lack of a dining / bistro car, but also because of the frequent stops at less important stations and the average journey time. This train was an Ex (expres) category, but since the new timetable came into effect, all ČD Expres trains have been rebranded as EuroCity or InterCity. Now this train runs under as Expres only in the section Žilina - Čadca, and then runs as an EC train.

Well as I see, you was in the "lucky Ostravan" or how to say... when I see name "Ostravan" my hair stands (I have always the luck that SOMETHING happens) x') As I see the 1st class are still really amazing (I remember the days, when I was young and I was traveling with my parents with the 1st class many years ago - I ALWAYS enjoyed the ride)

Hello. Thank you for the comment, yes I read it all :-) I understand the your experience with the Ostravan train. Unfortunately, this train often varies widely in quality, so it's usually not my choice for traveling on this route. I was quite lucky that my favorite Ampz143 carriage was in the composition of this train. Currently, Ostravan trains often run again with older types of coaches, including B249s. Btw. in many videos it looks like I have a luck to catch good trains, but that's because I check the selected train for a long time and plan the trip so that everything goes well :-D

...I am furious, because our MoFos just have raised the prices of the 1st class, they told us, this is a luxury service provided by the railways for wealthy ones....😠 Am I looking as a millionaire?😳 Do my fellas factory and railway workers travelling home after a 12 hour nightshift look millionaires??? Because we want to travel in peace and quiet.... But we share the same bonus - the delay time.🙄 Nice trip, Pete, I know all tthose coaches by experience. The 1st class is a good ol' one. Pity for the missing bistro coach. The class 363 locomotive - I already knew that no schedule maintained today.😎 I am glad, the railways in the Czech republic are still colourful, I mean the green "Tornado", the yellow stripped red "Grumpy", the blue old postal cars.

Co jsem dohledal, tak by se měla po rekonstrukci přepnout podobně jako před několika lety Púchov. Předpoklad pro Žilinu byl 2022, ale nevím jestli to stihnou.

605 kc for no service 🤦♀️ In comparation with other companies with way better service, the price is absolutelly terrible. But you can see on this video, how many people traveled in this train, almost nobody. Shame for CD...

This train wasn’t empty, I filmed the interior shortly after the train arrived to the platform and before the platform was shown. I always trying to show the train in times where is lack of people or in the less busy sections, I want to show train, no other people.. On this route almost all trains are crowded between Ostrava and Prague. In 2nd class there was almost no free seats, Load factor in class was 50%. Have the other companies better service on this route? There is only RegioJet with 3 pairs of trains per day and ticket prices are very similar (if you have no student’s discount).

@@PeteBrandy I traveled many times between Ostrava and Prague(part of this journey) in Business class of Regiojet and the service, for the same price, is absolutelly different- free drinks, variety of food available to purchase... And also you can try Leo express services, they are really great too. In comparasion to this, where you can just buy some weird snack and have nothing included in price. And train wasnt full at all, there are some shots of interior during the journey and seats were empty...

@@pidro1191 But you can not compare international and domestic tickets. If you travel between Ostrava and Prague, price is comparable usuallly between 1st class ČD vs Relax RGJ. Business of Regiojet is usually expensive. Business of Regiojet is comparable with ČD Pendolino, where the service is very similar, maybe better. Personally, I prefer open space coaches instead of compartments, so ČD’s 1st class is better choice for me. Btw. I usually travel Ex1 route 4 times per month (and I already tried all options there, incl. Leo and also night trains)

@@PeteBrandy Why i cant compare this? This train is service on Ostrava-Prague route. There is absolutely no service incuded in price of 1. class, instead of regiojet, where you get in lowest standart class(way cheaper than this) free water, variety of coffee, tea, cheap and delicious food to purchase... If i compare to this, where is no service(this ugly, and i suposed expensive snack is nothing), its more comfortable to choose lowest class of regiojet, than this something called "first class".

ČD skončily s kategorií expres, takže všechny expresy jsou teď IC/EC, i když nesplňují standardy, které na ně bývaly kladeny.

Bylo to hned co začalo platit ECM, to chyběly 151.. pak jsem jel týden poté ještě jednou a to už jela 363 jen do Bohumína, kde přepřáhli na 151
