I am sure Omar did the best he could all the way down to the deadline, and, in the end, he did a very good job. Williams will definitely help the Steelers offense a great deal. Wait and see DK!

Does not move the needle a ton but definitely adds high quality debth at edge and if Williams can get back to just 90 % he is our 2 easy but it will take a few weeks to get the playbook to a solid level. Both help more towards the end of the season and playoffs with hopefully some solid impact in spots before

Any of the top tier receivers would have cost draft capital and a major cap hit. Don't forget they're gonna have to make an investment in a QB next year plus contract extensions. And everybody's acting like Williams is washed. He was a great receiver for LAC only to have the ACL tear last year. He's only 30 and will fit in perfectly with this offense, especially with Russ's long ball abilities. Pickens, Williams, CA in the slot, Muth at TE, not to mention Najee and Warren at RB. I'll take it.

DK my man. Van yes is a ok run blocker but you can work both in. Just think of what teams will have to do with GP on one side and Williams on the other and Russ throwing those perfect floaters. You have to play 2 deep. Now the running opens up more and Pat opens up more. Williams dont move the needle a ton but can have a significant impact in other area's.

Dk, your biggest concern for finding a receiver has been injury insurance for George Pickens. They just picked up a dude that does what George Pickens does just not quite as good. So if Pickens goes down yes you're going to lose something and you always were going to, but at least you don't lose that dynamic in your offense

It's really easy to say that when your job/family isn't on the line for that trade decision. Also, it takes 2 teams AND the player to trade. Remember, it's been said that some players just didn't want to come to Pittsburgh because they work too hard there and some players like to just cruise. Some of these players that the Steelera went after are out for the season, and if that would have happened, the team would be right back in the same position.

I think it’s fair to call Omar’s approach “balanced”. He’ll make moves but he’s not going to spend all our capital in free agency and ditch the draft. Might be unpopular but I think it’s the right approach. You may not be happy today, but like saving for retirement I think you’ll be happier in the long term.

Williams was not a surprise. Smith was a shock. You felt strongly they would try everything possible to sign another WR but Smith came out of left field. But it is debth we need at one of our core positions

Omar didn't revolutionize the Steelers Way today. But he has re-established the Steelers Way this year by rebuilding our offensive line so we can go back to playing smash mouth football. The Steelers Way has been good enough for me the past 50+ years so I'll happily take that.

DK, I really think this has a lot less to do with bolstering the team based on what we think they need. I think it’s honestly more about how they feel about who they CURRENTLY have. Williams is a bit of a mediocre move on the surface, but if he stays healthy he's very valuable depth and at his size could really help with our red zone struggles.

DK Metcalf was never available. There has never once been an even somewhat credible source that has said he was available. I think the Steelers not calling the Seahawks should be proof of that. And as for “only” spending 5th and 7th rounders, look around the at the rest of the league! The chiefs arguably had an even bigger hole at WR than us and they only spent a 5th for their upgrade. If you wanna argue DHop over Williams then yeah, I’m totally with you on that, but let’s not act like the rest of the league was out here throwing around 1st and 2nd round picks and we just sat on our hands

DK. I havent watched much of Mike Williams but i am almost thinking this is better for our run game than our passing game. I feel like GP>CAIII=MW>VJ. Im not sure if this is me reading into it too much but i feel 6'4 Mike Williams will be the WR in 1WR packages instead of miller or Jefferson. I think this could make our perimeter blocking much better at blocking and we could see alot of MW and VJ combo in 2 WR sets just for the fact that they could be willing blockers. This is on the assumption Mike Williams is a capable blocker which i havent ever watched play seriously!

Then when he balls out you’re quiet like church mouse. Then you rip decision of Tomlin starting Russ, you literally threw a temper tantrum for that decision. What happened Russ in two games threw more pass yards than fields combined starts. Now you question this decision yet again when you going learn, not to question the Khan artist.

When you look at who the Steelers have drafted the past 2 seasons, it’s clear that the scouting department knows what they are doing and you don’t give those high picks away. Besides, I think the long term QB is still NOT on the team. Which means you may need draft capital to move up and get if (if the right guy is there to be had). So unless you’re getting a guy that will take you to the Super Bowl, you don’t sell the farm.

Mike Williams is more capable if willing, bigger body guy, stronger, etc. If they want a run blocking WR for heavy formations, Ben Skowronek is an actual, very good blocking WR (if he's healthy?).
