Awesome,,,i have all lionel hudsons from 1950-1997 anybody know when this one was made,,,,some how i never seen this one till now ,,,,thanks for sharing this video ,,if not for this video i wouldnt know this one exsisted,,,thank you Ken

Glad you enjoyed it. The Hudson was issued by Lionel in 2002. It was in the set. Hope that helps.

@@DonaldKeiser1981 I have the whole set in original doxes and set box plus add on boxcar ,,,,it came with the extra wheels for the engine,,,all paper work,,tube of smoke fluid all mint in the box,,,Ken

@@kensbackshop6399 Excellent…me too. But I have (2) extra boxcars!!!!!! I display mine on a shelf. I forgot about the extra wheels for the engine. They are in the set box. That locomotive is a real “Growler”.

thinking of getting the set as I really like it. the engine concerns me though as far as getting parts down the road if any boards or oddesey 1 parts go bad. thanks.

Hey Roger. I understand. All I can offer is that my locomotive appears to be bullet proof after 20 years of ownership. But, that does not mean it may die tomorrow! Although, those older steamers do not seem to have many issues. If you do buy the set, also look for the “add on” Dining Car. Thanks for the comments.

question for you don. does the engine in the set have fan driven smoke.

Hello Roger. Unfortunately, while the locomotive has “decent” smoke output, it is not fan driven. The set is 21 years old and back then the steam locos were the “puffer” type based on the drivers revolution. It will smoke at standing still but does not output large quantities. Regardless, the set is very nice and one of my favorites.

DK ; Does this train require O 72 track ? You know me as SRT on my train channel but I now subscribe to you on my farming channel as well! I asked because I just bought one for 1/2 the price on eBay.

Hey “SRT”. Thanks for the 2nd sub. Much appreciated. Wow. That is an amazing price on that set. I have heard guys paying more than list. My smallest radius is 072. However, I would think 064 and even a little smaller would be fine. The Hudson 4-6-4 should be fine. The cars have 6 wheel trucks and they should work fine too.
