People really underestimate what humility and respect can accomplish. When you let anger rule you, all you do is make people want to distance themselves from you. I still don't know the ins and outs of this conflict, but it's disappointing that a woman of her age and experience still conducted herself so poorly. The few blemishes he pointed out, he could have buried her with, but he didn't. He barely touched it and focused more on the insightful fact of the matter. At this point, does Monique even have skills? "Precious" may have been an autobiography, which wouldn't require skill to reenact. I couldn't even watch that disgusting movie past the intro so I'll have to take ya word for it. The parts i did see, look pretty true to her character. I am surprised how proud of it she is. That should be an embarrassing body of work. Not her biggest accomplished esteemed piece, to hold over people's heads the way she does. Demanding a ransom. She should be ashamed of herself.

@@lesliebarber206 You are so misinformed. These people, except for Oprah admitted to what they did, and also apologized. You're supposed to hold people accountable for what they do when they're wrong. But suddenly behind a single beef, now she's had beefs with everyone, and that is simply untrue. DL is hiding behind this phony "reasonability." He wasn't being reasonable when he followed Steve Harvey's example, and took the side of the more powerful people in this scenario, and on his tour which was going on at the same time, he talked shit about her. And you've got to know that this happens all the time. Powerful people taking down those who don't go along with the BS. Aren't you tired of that? You should applaud her courage if nothing else. Maybe someday someone in Hollywood will get to keep a job because she spoke up. Now, I do think she could have handled it better, but not by shutting her mouth. She should have said everything she said except for dragging DL's family into her rant. But I do understand her rage. Just because someone helps you doesn't mean they get to use you, and then try to destroy your reputation and take food out of your mouth. Her performance also helped them, and she did it for almost nothing. DL should not get points for being reasonable, and defending himself by putting her down, "in a nice way."
