Thank you so much for making this clip available. On Facebook, If I'm having a bad day or I'm pissed off, I can spend an hour pecking away on my cell phone writing some rant about who or what is pissing me off, or I can just post this clip. Its a real time saver. Plus, out of context it can really weird the s*** out of some people. But most of all it cracks me up and puts me in a good mood. I can allow her to have a batshit freak out for me on Facebook, while I have a mental temper tantrum in private. .. you know like how we used to do it 8 years ago? In private?

@BdoFilms211 жыл бұрын
I don't think Pink Flamingos is a good first film to watch. It's his most famous, but it doesn't give you the best picture of his mind. I'd go with Female Trouble. It has a better budget than his earlier films so it's more watchable, but it's still NC-17 and it still has Divine. The problem with Desperate LIving is no Divine. The problem with Polyester is it's too sleek and not disgusting enough to really capture his filthy genius. And every movie after Polyester are too mainstream.
@steveneardley75413 жыл бұрын
Female Trouble is definitely one of the best. But I think the dialogue in Desperate Living was his best--relentless screeching: "I'm so hungry, I could eat CANCER." "YOU PUT MY BABY IN THE REFRIGERATOR!!" "So, don't pay me, already. Don't pay me."

@nezneon, I am a huge fan of the films of John Waters. I could recommend Cecil B. Demented, the original Hairspray, Pecker, Cry-Baby, A Dirty Shame and just go from there. Also, you might want to catch his documentary This Filthy World. To me, John Waters is an absolute genius. I truly don't understand people who don't 'get' his comedy. His films are a thousand times more funny than most so-called comedies that are released.

@RustIronCrowe I love some Water but funny enough have never watched Pink Flamingos With that being said I would IMHO recommend Serial Mom, CryBaby or Cecil B. DeMented to watch first, a bit more mainstream yes but I scared a few people with DL This is one of my fav lines from the movie Honestly it's been a few years since I've seen it (feeling old) so don't even remember the scene after this. I did love shouting this as a teen at people, good times

@pewsterbaby I wouldn't hardly call it an "empty feeling" you jaded observer.. I cut the clip at a natural break-point. If it were up to me I would have simply re-uploaded the entire movie, which would have gotten me banned from KZbin entirely. I don't disagree with your sentiment, but it serves no-one to dismiss the fraction of the film provided as being less than a microcosm of Waters' creative mind.. Empty is as empty does.

hahaha, I've been intO Marilyn Manson since 1993, seen him live multiple of times. Don't really like his music anymore honestly though. In the early 90's when the band actually became Marilyn Manson it still had tha Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kds feeling and sound. His music is missing that sound now. There will never be a song from him like "My Monkey". (Off of Portrait Of A American Family, track #12)
