Great video Terry. Many years ago, I was a technical for large industrial band printers for a company called Centronics. We had to go thru a training course on how to troubleshoot them and were often tested with injected problems. When it was my turn, the printer was DOA, no power.... firs thing I did was pull out the plug to find the HOT blade missing on the cord. I was given an A+++ Every other tech in the class, ripped it apart and changed the power supply board. Moral of the story : always look for the simple things first which you clearly did here... very very good video my friend.

Another AWESOME video, as usual, Terry! Loved the line at 9:30 about the out of tolerance plate resistors. "You can just look at 'em. They're always sweaty. They're like, I'm outta tolerance, change me" LOLOLOL.....D-lab gold! Thanks, friend. Made my day!

Eggscellent. I had the pleasure of using a '67 Twin as my main amp back in the late 80's for the gig I was doing at the time and I still wish I could have it today. It was so warm and responsive.

D-Lab comes up with another cool amp! Thank you! I've been unable to add a comment for the past several days because of the weather contretemps here in Texas. Don't get me started on the management of ERCOT.

Strange for that footswitch to be bad like that, since it appears to be a replacement and fairly new.

Is that a Philco cathedral radio on your side bench? That would be an interesting restore video.

When I was very young I had a Fender Quad Reverb but lost it and I recently picked up a used one. When I opened it up it was all original, never been touched! When you turn up the tremolo intensity, the volume drops and sounds very compressed. Also I don't get much tremolo until intensity knob is up near 8. I have changed the 5 filter caps, all new JJ Tubes, Bias current at 21, new photo resister, still has same problem. The two resisters on the one end of the photo resister measure 100 ohm and 10 meg ohm. Thats about all I know. Any help here would be greatly appreciated!
Great video as always Terry! Which Celestions are in that cabinet?

Considering there's only 3 factories that make tubes... Chinese ones are EASY to visually identify by the bracket inside. JJ doesn't private label. That leaves only one place.

Did you know that there are lots of amps running with tubes made in the 60s and 70s? People can get N.O.S. tubes and also tubes survive today from a time when there were more than 3 manufacturers.

@@electrolytics I'm well aware. I buy and sell tubes.

What about a Reverb tank using ceramic transducers.

I mean, isn’t a tremolo intermittent by definition?

Terry will not have any problem with work once he retires if he decides to stick with guitar amp/amateur radio repairs.......he may actually have to get an 'assistant' to help him with all the in-coming work....nice job Terry.
