Top guy had over 300 kills and about 80 deaths. I got my medic to rank 10 and went from level 59 to 62. I got around 200 kills by the end of it. At one point we all decided to have a Christmas truce in the middle because the teams were so evenly balanced.

Something that Levelcap never mentioned about grenade changes all the grenades have different resupply timers, for instance the frag resupplies at 36 seconds while the mini resupplies in around 24, they also buffers the mini's damage

Operations on ps4 really isnt a problem. the amount of players on ps4 is so big that when you join an empty operations server it just fills up instantly but i can see why this is a problem for pc and xbox

I think that'd be really cool, but keep in mind that this DLC came out 6 months after the game was released, and it didn't even have a story for it. To create a DLC for multiplayer is one thing, but to create a new story, the new maps, and the cut screens would take a long time to create.

If dice wants to keep the battlefield games alive... Make DLC free. Dice keeps making the same mistake in past battlefield titles. Why are they not learning their lesson when DLC splits the player base and all their hard work making a DLC for the game is for nothing and it will die down. Not many people who got the game from day one won't come back. I do like the battlefield games but it took a long time to get it right. Pretty soon battlefield 1 might be the last battlefield game I'll ever play

It has nothing to do with money its the fact that as level cap stated that most BF dlcs hit they ends up with you having new guns on the old maps cause not enough players are playing the new modes/ new maps after a few weeks. There are other avenues of income they could take. Games like R6, TF2, and Over Watch have shown that you can make money and give free dlc because there are those people who will spend a lot of money just to have the cool skins for their guns. It keeps the player base together which means everyone can enjoy the maps and new game modes. Like I wont buy premium because the new guns are not going to beat what we already have which means that they will be cool for the first few hours then you will go back to the tried and true which leaves you with the new maps which after a few weeks or a month or two will be dead.

we here in South Africa only recently got localised servers (and we love it of course), but Operations has been an absolute ghost town - i think bcos most casuals (and those new to BF) find matches through Quick Find or Server Browser, they probably dont realise that the seperate menu title of Operations is an actual gamemode. Its got to a point where we had to start a BF1 SA Operations community on PS4 just to gather 40 willing players to coodinate schedules and play a game of Operations. If it was put in the exisiting Server Browser, it would solve all problems.

But remember, man, they removed the support's throwable ammo being able to give grenades. Only boxes do now, and they still take a bit longer than they used to. The self-regen is intended to level the (grenade-based) playing field between those who have/are a support constantly resupplying grenades and someone who aren't. Grenade spam is probably still a thing, but at least it won't be totally lopsided towards the one competent squad per team that has a support.

DICE introduced cooldown-based grenades so they can balance grenades with cooldown times instead of number of grenades in inventory. Also, ammo pouches no longer give grenades, but being by an ammo crate shortens the cooldown - the more the more time you spend there.

What dice needs to fucking fix is the R2 Fire button!!!! On ps4, there is a rare bug where you cannot use the flame thrower, snipers, anti vehicle kit, and shotgun because they domt FIRE! You hit the shoot button and nothing happens. Its not my controller because every other game works fine. Even the assualt rifles and medic rifles are fine. Its so annoying. If I want to use of those weapons, I need to go into settings and change the settings to "lefty" which I hate. The fire button changes to L2. So inconvenient. I guess Dice just doesnt care

Just a tip for people trying to unlock the new weapons: I'm on PS4 and I don't know if this is a bug or not, but it seems that when you're trying to get the "Get 15 kills in a round with ... " assignment, this resets every round even if you complete it successfully. So complete the other task first!

Thank you for getting this out there Level, I've got about 300 hours of game time so far and I have only played 8 matches of operations. And I'm not counting only complete matches. Since day 1 of release I would try to queue up every weekend until after 30-40 min I would just give up and play conquest. About a month ago I gave up trying. Now I'm waiting on DICE to play a game mode that was extremely fun for the times I played.

I stopped playing about 2 weeks ago simply because i had done everything unlocked all the weapons, got all classes to lvl 10 and mostly everythumg else and when i started playing today getting the weapons i love the new maps i've only got a few weapons so far but their all fun weapons to use. On PS4, there are no such problems with Operations. I did 4 sets of operations yesterday, 1 being "Beyond the Marne" and the rest being "Devil's Anvil." I love Devil's Anvil. The close quarters and 64 players roaming burning trenches is glorious. You'll get tons of kills and so it's great to use it to get those weapon unlocks. Beyond the Marne is insane as you meet a tank every two seconds.

This DLC for me is amazing. All of the 4 maps are great and offer different variety of combat. Anyway we have to consider that we are playing with premium member so the majority play for the objectives and help the team. Anyway, i wasn't hyped for this DLC but it is actually very good.

I honestly feel like the grenade spam has gotten worse since the release of the DLC, before it was mainly in tight corridors and such where as now its happening everywhere theres a large enough group of soldiers and they see a single enemy near them, everything else, the new maps, weapons, vehicles, the introduction of the French faction, they are all awesome to me, just the main drawback that is starting to ruin it for me is the sudden increase in grenade spamming

cody lynch it's not dead but out of all the games I've played online I will play with the same people match after match and most other games that have a lot of players you generally don't see that. It definitely doesn't have the player base 4 had.

David Sirland has said repeatedly that with ALL the grenade changes taken into account, they have seen that there are LESS grenades used on the battlefield at any given point in time. They obviously have internal data to support this claim, or otherwise, David would not made it

I know you may not read this comment, but I wanted to bring up that the battlepack bugs are returning, contacted EA after I pulled a Silver Victory tank skin from a battlepack only for them to tell me that I never pulled it, had proof that I took the screen shots and all, and I would really wish you would look more into this issue that is currently starting up once again with their battlepack system.

So happy with the medic rifle tweaks! The idea behind the grenade tweaks was to reduce spam when support players sit on their ammo bag rather than reducing general usage with a medic or assault player being able to use a single frag grenade to clear a room twice a minute, considering most players don't even live that long it's not really that bad. Although I still think the resupply time should be increased when players are sitting on an ammo bag. Overall it's still better than making grenades rare for players who live longer than others.

The map soixante is 60 in French. Likely based off of the Battle of Hill 60. A major event in the First Battle of Ypres. Which was the major French defensive and offensive in WW1. (All 5 of them.) This was likely included and named because They shall not pass is a DLC based on the French. And, these battles of Ypres were exactly that. "They shall not pass......5 times." Just some advice for Levelcap, and everyone. (Assuming one doesn't speak French or wants some background on the map.)

I think they decreased smoke grenades because of people like me who run it on support. If anyone throws ammo at their feet and times their smoke properly enough they can have smoke permanently covering a location on the map. Sometimes I feel like it should take at least two people to set up so much cover on an objective, and now it will.

The only thing I don't like in this DLC is the new gamemode, it was very slow and awkwardly long. Instead of having someone get pushed back every single time if the intercom stage is a failure, maybe have a limit to 2-3. Everything else is great and I don't understand the other spoiled gamers that continue to insist that the game is not complete, this is a lot of content for one pack

@LevelCapGaming you can play operation at server browser. Just unselect all game mode at server browser and refresh you will find operation mode in the browser. (It called breakthrough mode though)

These are without a doubt the 4 best maps in the game right now. The operations are outstanding and there is tons of trench warfare in both the infantry only operation and the one with the bigger vehicle orientated maps. I'm enjoying this DLC way more than I thought I would. Hope the servers running these stay populated.

I love Operations. But going to the Operations tab and choosing which one you want usually ends in you being put in an empty server. I find going to quickmatch and choosing Operation will put you in a populated match most of the time. Although you don't get to pick which Operation you want to do.

BTW Levelcap, BF4 DLCs are still played a lot at least on the PS4 because of course DICE LA gave them away for free for a limited time. I hope they do the same for BF1.
