DLE 30 THROTTLE AND CHOKE SET UP

Where did you get the replacement throttle arm on the carb? Looks nice then the stock rm and longer too.

The throttle arm is 1" in length you can watch my other video which shows the throttle arm attachment, it is under dle 30 throttle linkage. If I recall correctly it is an HPI servo arm slightly modified for the throttle arm shaft.

That was way too complicated to set up two push rods. We would need to spend a fortune on all the measuring tools and be a maths genius. You seem to have chosen THE most difficult and complicated way of doing things. At the end of the day, you still have a metal to metal connection to the choke lever on the engine. I am watching videos to try to enlighten me how to overcome this problem. I cannot use a normal nylon clevis as the hole in the choke lever is circa 2mm diameter. Wonderfully laid out vid but hey man! .....toooo complicated.

Yes, it's a little complicated but it is showing how to gain throttle resolution through the servo. Having poor throttle resolution promotes problems on the ground but more importantly in the air. Servo resolution is just as important on your control surfaces, poor resolution will cause erratic flight characteristics. I do understand your point of view though; sometimes easy is not best, especially when one has spent more time than money on a project.

@@TOPHAT1966GS I get your point and you have been meticulous with the way you have tackled it. I am still scratching my head how to link up the choke lever on DLE 20 with a simple push rod towards the front of the cowl for manual operation. I can make a simple push rod but what concerns me is the metal to metal contact combined with engine vibration that may cause RF interference which is not good. So is it okay to have metal to metal contact to the choke arm?

@@petercane6376 The old metal to metal interference thing went away with 2.4ghz I think. It was a nemesis on 27mhz and 72mhz.
